 BC Ferries on ebay
« Thread Started on Jul 22, 2009, 2:17pm »

Here we can post any BCF, WSF, Black Ball, or Albion ferry collectors items or actual West Coast Ferries that are found on ebay, craigslist, buy&sell, or any other online for-sale gallery.

Here are some items that I found:
Vintage BC Ferries Sugar Cubes on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/9-Pkgs-Vintage-ROGER....93%3A1|294%3A50

BC Ferries Cribbage Board:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ACME-Folding-Plastic....93%3A1|294%3A50

Post away! If you are selling something from your own collection, you can post something of yours too....

Neat stuff, but...

Why even think about paying U.S. dollars to a fellow Canadian living in the Lower Mainland for something that is Canadian? You'll end up with the expense of the exchange and so forth.

If you buy, first adjust those U.S. prices into Canadian dollars and then state that's what you'll pay out for.

I ran into the same problem at a collector's meet once. I knew a guy who was as Canadian as Molson's beer and he had his prices in $U.S for Canadian plates. (licence plates). I said I'd take
'em for $10 Canadian, not $15.00 U.S. since they're going back
to Canada anyway.

The meet was in Washington State, he said. "Well true, but this
is between one Canadian and another one in regards to BC and Alberta plates. Which Yank around here would want the old plates?"

I got 'em for $10 CDN. This was at a time when the exchange was
way down, when we had a 78 cent loonie.

If its something originating from the U.S, then I would go for the U.S. dollar amount, but certainly not for something that originates here in The Great White North.

Whoever is selling it is in Alberta, so no way I would pay out U.S. dollars for a Canadian item sold in Canada.

$3.00 US - I'd say $2.25 CDN max.
