I have decided on starting this new thread where I can update you on BC Ferries that are moving from one place to another while Not in Service.
Lets Start with the mv Bowen Queen. I did hear her Last nite around 11:19pm while she was heading to Horseshoe Bay. She was taking her time and was only making 8 Knots heading towards the Iona-Cape Roger Curtis Line. I waited untill 01:15am before going to bed and did not hear her switch over to Vancouver Traffic. Also As of 1:15 am this morning The Queen of Coquitlam was still at Departure Bay and no word of the Queen of Surrey which I would have persumed gone to Dease Dock.

I might whip out to Deas Friday as I will be in Van for day and check out what ships are there! It is a neat sight right now to see the Norhern Adventure, the Capilano and the SOVI all in Esquimalt! I might head back before it's dark to snap a few shots.

At about 11:14pm I heard Comox Traffic talking to the Northern Adventure. The vessle I believe was near Cape Mudge southbound.
At 12:54am this morning, May 10, I heard traffic talking to the ferry again, I believe she was at Cape Lazo this time.

Thanks for the heads up.

I was monitoring my hand Held Scanner when I heard Victoria traffic communication to the Chilliwack about some other vessle that was still on ch 74. All I can tell you is that it was the Chilliwack near Sandheads on Ch 11.

Update from Steveston: I didn't see any 'wack'y ferries at Deas, though I did run into the Tachek, and what is either the Klitsa or Kahloke (I didn't stop at Deas to take a closer look).

Looking at the Discovery Coast Passage schedual she is supposed to be in service on June 05 from Port Hardy, so when I heard Victoria Traffic talking to her, she was probably heading out of the river and possible heading north

The Queen of Esquimalt is probably at Tsawwassen now as she is uppose to take over for the New West starting tommorrow. The Vancouver I have no idea where she is. The Saanich is out of drydock and is at Swartz Bay.

I would imagine that Queen of Vancouver has now gone in for her refit. She'll be needed for the extra x-mas runs.

Esquimalt was NOT in Departure Bay this evening (I was there arriving as a footie on the Coquitlam)....so that supports the notion that she's at Tsawwassen.

I passed over Tsawwassen Terminal this evening. Though it was dark there appeared to be a V parked at berth 2, though it may have been the Nanaimo. The time was about 6:10 pm. No sign of any 6 oclock sailing on route 1 either.

Saanich is at SWB, NWM is at berth 1 in TSW, so the QoESQ must be running on route 30 as of today, 17 Nov.

The schedule change has been posted for some time, as effective today.
I was at Tsawwassen around 10 this morning, and the 'New Westminster appeared to be taking on crew, so perhaps they were preparing to move for the big upgrade.
