Salish Raven appears to be doing dock trials at Langdale today. AIS shows that she visitwd both berths. Perhaps we'll be seeing one onlf the Salish as the #2 on this route temporarily in the future.

If they put Island Sky on the run, and in times past even the Queen of Capilano, and in extreme cases even Bowen Queen, It would not suprise me they could put the Raven on that run. BCF is talking about adding more service in the future..... Update 17:12 Dec 7 She is still in berth 2 Langdale. www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/SALISH-RAVEN-IMO-9750294-MMSI-316030628

Salish Raven made a stop at Darrell Bay this morning for dock fitting. She's currently southbound in the strait, likely bound for Tsawwassen.

I'm assuming that Darrell Bay is part of the Province's emergency-plan for how to do transportation in the event of a significant long-term closure of the Sea-to-Sky highway because of landslide/earthquake/whatever. Because the Salish class are a new class and there are 3 of them, it would be logical for at least one of those ships to be called on to move traffic in such a situation.

I thought that perhaps Scott had confused Darrell Bay with Porteau Cove, where there is indeed an emergency ferry dock. I thought Darrell Bay had been dismantled?

After completing her stint on the Nanaimo-Gabriola run, Bowen Queen is now approaching Active Pass, I'm assuming heading for Fulford?

The Oak Bay is currently being assisted out of Deas. Since she is not due back in service until Monday, I'm guessing she is heading to Langdale or departure bay for a couple of days.

Trying to do some possible Northern trip planning for late Spring or Summer and wondering if the Northern Expedition will be done with her refit and back in service on route 10 BEFORE the 2018 Summer season commences?
