Who's going to each open ship? This is the tentative schedule: - Vancouver (Canada Place): January 20, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Nanaimo: February 2, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
- Victoria (Ogden Point): February 9, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
I'm going to the Nanaimo open ship.

I'll be at the employee-only open ship in Victoria on the 8th of Feb. If I miss something and need a second look I'll go again on the 9th.

I should be going to the Vancouver open house, although it falls on my mom's b-day. Hopefully I can work something out.

I have a chance of getting to the Nanaimo Open House But that really depends what we're doing around that time.

Hmm. My schedule for Jan/Feb is up in the air, as I'll be moving by that point if things go as planned. So it will be either Canada Place and/or Nanaimo.

We should probably designate a meeting place at each open ship so that the forum members can easily get together.

I'm planning for the Nanaimo one... maybe the Vancouver one, but probably not. The bad part about Vancouver is the number of people wanting to take the tour so they rush you through.

I will be attending the employee open house in Nanaimo on January 5th, but I also plan on doing the public open houses in Nanaimo and Vancouver as well...

It is interesting to note that the Victoria open house is 5 hours which is longer than the other open houses. I think the Vancouver one should be longer as it will be busier!

Vancouver for me, no question - probably hop on a SkyTrain downtown - I'm sure the 98 B-Line will be a zoo.

Vancouver & Nanaimo for me.
Perhaps we can arrange a meetup before hand and get a good spot in line for the gaggle of us? I remember from the NorAD open house it was tough to know who was who never having met anyone face to face before.

I'm going to try to do the Vancouver one on Jan 20. I would love to do the Victoria one, and maybe I still can, but the Coho will be out of service then undergoing her annual maintenance, so that rules out getting to Victoria from Port Angeles, which is the fastest and easiest way for me to get to Victoria.

I hope to attend all three, but realistically you can guarantee that I'll atleast be there for the Vancouver Open House. Three different backgrounds for photography would be great, but I try to not promise what I might not be able to deliver I'll be at the employee-only open ship in Victoria on the 8th of Feb. If I miss something and need a second look I'll go again on the 9th. You're an employee? I had no idea Vancouver for me, no question - probably hop on a SkyTrain downtown - I'm sure the 98 B-Line will be a zoo. I don't make it a secret, I feel the 98 to be the worst route of the system, both how it's managed and how the people treat it; the 98 is probably the only reason for why I agree that the Canada Line is good reason to truncate suburban services at north Richmond (Bridgeport).

ps: good luck in getting into deb's restricted spaces..... Maybe you can get the rest of us into these "Restricted" spaces? Or on second thought, perhaps not....

I think I will exercise an unusual amount of restraint concerning the restricted spaces, with the exception of saying that, "how do we know they are all that restricted?" :X

(Quagmire enters) "Restricted spaces? SURE(ends here)
For those of you who do not know family guy, look up Quagmire and you will see what I mean. Otherwise, I think this topic is getting a bit too out of control. Except in an RLD.

We need not say that "Excessive restraint" will be required on this particular trip.... they're restricted for a reason you know... How do I know they're all restricted? Sometimes you just have to use your instincts my friend... remember, they may not be restricted for everyone.... =============================== This post has been rated PG13.
