I just thought I would put this out there as this sounds pretty cool.
Princess Cruises has an overnight cruise from Vancouver to Seattle on May 09 and also Sept 27th from Seattle to Vancouver. I thought this could be a cool group trip if you like both ferries and cruise ships as the May 09th cruise to Seattle has the cheapest cabins for $79.00 for two people. An inside cabin but I mean the cruise leaves Vancouver at 5:30pm and arrives in Seattle at 7:30am so who really needs a cabin anyways. Arrive in Seattle, off the cruise ship at the latest 9:30am enough time to get some cabs and take us to Colemon Dock to catch the 10:15am sailing to Bremerton arriving at 11:15pm. An hour over there and head back on the 12:35pm sailing to Seattle arriving at 1:35pm giving us 40 mins to get a cab down the street to the Victoria Clipper which departs at 3:15pm to Victoria arrving at around 6pm for about $85.00 for the clipper. I havent checked the September prices yet but I would assume they would be around the same price. Mainlanders could still get home that night on the 9pm sailing.
And I guess in September it could be the opposite schedule.
The cruise ship would be the Golden Princess which is a huge one.
What makes this cool is a combo of riding a cruise ship overnight from Vancouver to Seattle, no hotel neccassary being you would be on the ship overnight. Partay anyone?? A chance to take quick trip to Bremerton and ride the Clipper back to Victoria. Probably for all under or around $200.00 And we dont even have to leave the waterfront in Seattle!
What do you think?? Would anyone be interested in this either May or September?? The May one would be a Friday and the Sept one would be Saturday Sunday.
