I never went. They didn't have a good location in my opinion.
I do miss the sound of the cars though.

I loved it! It made a great summer event, on a nice sunny day - riding in on the SkyTrain and hearing the sound of the cars drone out the sound of the train's breaks, as it rolled into Main Street Station...

I missed the first 2 years, but caught every year after that. I even attended the Molson Indy Montreal in 2002 and the Portland Grand Prix in 2004.
The last 2 years I have gone to the Edmonton Grand Prix. This year I hope to head down to Portland once again now that they have moved that one to July.
Vancouver was a great event. Not a great race to watch, but overall the whole weekend was the best. Portland and Montreal both were the opposite and had great racing.
But the past 2 years, Edmonton has been outstanding. The promoters there did a great job. Very entertaining, excellent racing and the best sightlines. I could see about 75% of the track from my seats.
The only thing though, Vancouver had the best Miss Indy girls.
