Thanks for that Flugel Horn,
I forgot to mention that I used a few of the Orbx scenery library items here and there in the Winslow scenery (a few cars, a waste bin, etc.) so if I ever get the nerve to distribute this stuff those things would have to be removed.

Having more or less finished the Tillicum model which I made in order to have a more appropriate "AI" boat for the Fauntleroy - Vashon route in the simulator, I increasingly thought it seemed quite out of place stopped off of a shoreline like this: So I decided to try the method(s) I used for the Winslow scenery for the Fauntleroy ferry dock. It's much less complicated, so it did not take that long; here's the result for any who might be amused. Perhaps because I grew up in the Fauntleroy area, it still didn't look right. No Lincoln Park (where I spent my summers as a kid), so I added a rough approximation. Now I feel better.
The current project is the tug Wedall Foss, mostly because I got some suitable pictures, but also because of the iconic status of the Foss name in my mind**. Maybe some screen shots after a bit more work. Larry ** This has to much do with a memory from long ago. As a quite young kid in the early 50's and onboard our little family sailboat anchored in Quartermaster Harbor during a big storm, we heard a distress call on the radio (WWII surplus, made into a marine radio) from a recreational boater. The resources we count on today did not exist then. There was a bit of chatter as I remember, not of much use, and then we heard a deep booming voice over the radio; "THIS … IS THE HENRY FOSS". They were offering to help. It sticks in my mind to this day.

Hi Folks, It's been awhile since I've posted, but since I've finally started to release some of my work I thought I would mention it here. Some screenshots of the first installment of the automated PNW ferry system, the Tsawwassen terminal and the boats that use it, are here: 1drv.ms/15ZuQjv. There is more info here: larobinson22.wordpress.com/ I've learned a lot in the past couple of years which prompted me to start redoing all the previous ferry models and terminals as well. I've finished remaking all the BC Ferries models (7 ferries represented) and a huge thank you to Scott for providing me with super quality photos exactly of the sort I needed. They made all the difference in the world. There are a bunch more screenshots here and there of recent projects, but enough for now. Apologies for the various inaccuracies that I'm sure you will notice.
