Are the links photos good now? They are gouda, cheese (Good) Thanks for making all those changes. The toughest part is learning it the first time. It's way easier, the second time.

We're hoping you were able to extract something out of this experience. We certainly appreciate all contributions, and the more, the merrier - the more options we have at voting time, the more variety it allows for as the flagships cycle through. Thanks for taking the time to participate and contribute.

Thanks to member "Mike H" for alerting us to this new photo problem:
This problem has impacted many of our forum photos, mostly photos posted with long link strings, such as Facebook (Member "Luke", you've got lots of broken links now.....)

Seriously?? Bull. Can we speak to PB about this? Why not just experiment with TinyUrls first to see if that works. Why does there have to be a need for links that are 116 characters long? I use long links quite often, but with those I pass them through TinyUrl, test and if correct use those instead. The internet system needs to "see" the entire 116 character link html link in order for the link to work (even if it is buried within a a TinyUrl link), but it doesn't mean visitors need to. Visitors don't see it. When posted as a picture, all you see is the picture. Ask facebook why they use such long links on their picture.

thank you for this "how to" as I have a few things I have found and for someone like myself who hates computers this was delightfully easy to follow.

Does anyone know how to share photos with the new Flickr update? I am having trouble doing it because I can not find how to share the photos.

Does anyone know how to share photos with the new Flickr update? I am having trouble doing it because I can not find how to share the photos. Step 1: There is a button that looks like a box with an arrow pointing out of it. Click on that button. Step 2: Select the 1024 px width option. Copy and paste the text into the forum. Step 3: Get a cold ginger ale and enjoy cat videos.

I have every single thing including comments on the side it save room but I cannot share pictures on here now. Edit: Never mind I got back to normal. Hopefully it becomes better when they fully upgrade everyone to the side view for everything.

Does anyone know how to share photos with the new Flickr update? I am having trouble doing it because I can not find how to share the photos. It seems that Mr. Cheese is right. Flickr is rolling out another update dubbed "our new Photo Experience". It is not a mass roll out but rather is being made available to Flickr a few users one at a time. Apparently you will be able to 'opt out' of this update. Flickr has a FAQ's page that has a question near the bottom entitled "I see a different photo page, what has changed?" That question is answered as follows: For more, follow the link above...

Now I understand what Cheese was talking about when he mentioned "Flickr Update."

I known I could switch between layouts. That is why I was the first on here to get the layout. So, you're saying that Flickr realised that you knew something that the rest of the WCFF members didn't know, and that's why Flickr made sure that you got the update before any other WCFF members.

I wonder if anyone else has encountered this problem. I never have, before today.
In attempting to upload a schedule from my photobucket account- which is right side up- there is no way I can convince this forum not to show it turned on its side. It's not too big- 700x745 or so. Any ideas?

A comment on the importance of asking permission and then giving photo credit, when you upload another member's photo as if it were your own:
- this based on an actual occurrence from a couple days ago, where a member's photo was uploaded by another member (Queen of Nanaimo thread)

This may be a tad off topic, but I want your guys' opinions on something.
As some of you may know, I use a site called Imageshack to host my photos. However, Imageshack has stopped letting me upload, and won't let me unless I give them money. So, I am looking for another FREE site on which I can host my pictures for both this forum and the other forum I post on. (The Skilifts.org Community Forum)
Any Recommendations? Thanks!

I'd say go Flickr. It's free, and in my opinion, it's a great and easy website to post pictures with.

Flickr, Flickr and, oh, Flickr! Though we like to complain about their upgrades every so often, it's still a cool website that not only lets you share your photos but also makes a gallery that's easily viewable online (as opposed to Imageshack which only serves as a photo host). Plus it's free! (well, once you get to a TB, which would take a loooot of photos)
