Kuper ferry at Chemainus, at noon hour on December 26, 2012. - firstly I show the arrival & departure at 8x speed. I like this speed for its effect. - then I show it at 2.5x speed. Easier to watch the details of arrival & departure this way, while still allowing for some sped-up effect. Everything was fine until the rain started coming in sideways at the camera, under the umbrella that I was holding overtop of my tripod. The scene: ------------- And while I was waiting for the ferry to arrive, I saw this:

I've never been on this ferry or the route it serves, and the question isn't answered in this thread, so could someone tell me if Kuper is pronounced Q-per or Cooper? Only if you're quite sure, please.

What day are you planning to go ride the Alberni? I believe he's only talking about the video upload. Besides, don't you think that's some sensitive information to share on a public site?

What I meant was that is he going to ride it or upload the video because the Alberni is still in refit until next Friday and wont return to service until Saturday November 14.

Let me set the record straight. No, I am not riding the Alberni in the next week. Why? Because I already filmed my Walkthrough of the Alberni back in March. Next week is when I'll be uploading the Walkthrough and afterwards posting it to the forum.

But seriously, I get to see the new DAVID J frequently, at her Nanaimo regular mooring spot. That's a bad one Mike! I have a question for you, since when did they start locking the gate to the dock that David J is currently moored at? The last two times I've been to Nanaimo it's been locked, is that a permanent thing? That was always a favorite place of mine to go to. I asked an elderly gentleman who was walking by if he knew about it and he went off on a profanity laden tirade, he obviously wasn't happy about it either!
