um, i thought they were supposed to shut off power while they worked on the motors, it sounds like someone wasn't doing their job. they should have covered the drive motor and avoided the overspray in the first place. it looks like WSF already has a spare motor, i think it will work as long as it has the same ratings, i think a drive motor is just a giant electric motor that turns the propellers. why cant they still use the ferry if the other end is still good?

@buggy, there's a specific thread for the Walla Walla. Each WSF ferry has its own discussion thread, and they're all located in the WSF Ferries sub-board of the Washington State board. You probably should ask your question there or look thru prior discussion there. Perhaps someone brought this up.

is there a release date for the kalakala? Not quite yet. Still finetuning the parameters of operation, finetuning the panels and the VC radar. I'm also working on redetailing it a bit and doing a polygon audit.

would you be willing to release a beta version? If I could release a beta version right now, I would. The computer I had developed the project on, suffered a motherboard failure on the power supply-side of things, and the computer I am on presently, cannot run Flight Simulator X. As soon as I get enough finances set aside, and once I secure a replacement laptop, I plan on it.

Any chance you have done or will be doing a Jumbo Mark II (M/V Tacoma, etc...) ?? Thanks! Yes, as soon as I have the financial resources to resume the project (specifically, in terms of being able to buy a computer that can handle the job), yes. -Steve
