I have to say I'm pretty impressed. The other day I bought a book that I had never saw before, on the Titanic at a local discount bookstore here in Shelton. The book contained a CD, that advertised a 3D tour of Titanic. I've taken many a 3D tour of Titanic only to be unimpressed or just flat out disappointed either in the graphics or structural/visual realism. The tour this CD offers is almost like you're standing on the real thing. Whoever put this thing together did one hell of a job. 13 different locations. Six separate views of the Grand Staircase and two separate views of the swimming pool aboard her. One from the Crows Nest, and even down in the boiler room. This thing is amazing. Had they only done one of the engine room.
Even Honor and Glory crowning Time - the clock @ the Grand Staircase, displays the actual time based on your computer's system. Either way, this thing is probably the closest thing to being aboard the actual Titanic, until TitanicII sets sail. And so far I have only a few gripes. The lighting simulated for interior rooms is much too bright. Back then, lighting wasn't nearly as bright aboard ships as it is now. The brightest lightbulbs of the day are roughly equivalent to a 25-watt bulb now. The other big gripe, is that you cannot walk around, plus they didn't do the engine room.
Either way, this is a stunning tour.
