just FYI the Ruby Princess if off Dallas Road right now heading for Esquimalt Graving Dock. She is here till the 15th when she is scheduled on a 3 night Pacific Coastal from Vancouver. I would assume she arrived this morning from a northbound Pacific Coastal offloaded then headed for Esquimalt as the Pacific Pilotage site shows this
Dispatched 12/03/2015 11:30 RUBY PRINCESS 12/03/2015 11:30 CANADA PLACE EAST ESQUIMALT GRAVING DOCK PRINCESS CRUISES
I guess she will be meeting up with the Queen of Cumberland now which is also in Esquimalt!
The high winds forced Ruby to anchor at Royal Roads upon arrival in Victoria from Vancouver. They will attempt to get her in about 04:00 in the morning. All life boats must be off loaded prior to going into the dry dock. The large docking tug, Seaspan Eagle has come over from Roberts Bank/Deltaport to assist in getting her into the dry dock.
At 03:00 Seaspan Foam and Cates #4 towed Queen of Cumberland out of Esquimalt harbor; out of harms way in the event the Ruby got loose from her tugs. (remember the incident two years ago that saw a fish processing vessel break loose and ram a naval frigate) The Foam kept the Cumberland off Royal Roads at about 3 knots until Ruby was safely in the dry dock. Cates 4 and Cates 20 then assisted the Foam in bringing Cumberland back along side.
A busy night on the Victoria waterfront for the Seaspan fleet.

The Ruby Princess is in Vancouver right now after arriving today from the Esquimalt Drydock. She leaves tomorrow on a 3 night Pacific Coastal Cruise down to Los Angeles. Then she sails to Hawaii! I posted a webcam shot to my facebook page. I dont think there has even been a cruise ship this late in the year in Vancouver that was actually leaving on a actual cruise. This is pretty much the last ship until April!
