Greetings everyone,
The clock is ticking for the final days of the Queen of Nanaimo sailing on Route 9.
I currently work on the Queen of Nanaimo, and myself and the rest of the crew will be sad to see her go once the Salish Eagle takes over Route 9 later on in 2017. The fact is, after over 52 years of service, she has been through alot and has seen a vast amount of crew members sail aboard her, along with probably millions of passengers throughout the years. Presently we're working on putting together some sort of collection of photos and stories of the Queen of Nanaimo to be posted onboard during her final months of service. The full vision of what exactly this will entail isn't fully known, but I'm hoping to put the message out there in an effort to collect some things, and see what comes available.
If anyone has a story, or photo collection they'd like to share, please feel free to post it on this thread or to private message me on this forum. I can't offer any sort of royalties for this, however we'd be willing to cover the cost to print/reproduce the images/stories themselves. This would strictly be to honour the long service that Queen of Nanaimo has done all of these years and for something to be retained in the archives for years to come.
Thank you for any and all submissions, and I look forward to what comes about!
