On page 147 of Newell & Williamson's book, "Pacific Steamboats," there is a small picture of a San Francisco Bay freighter, named "M.V. Kamoko." Does anybody know about this ship? All I know is from page 147 of said book, including that it hauled sugar from the C&H plant in Crockett, California, to points around the bay area. Help?

So, trying again, does anybody recognize the Motor Freighter Kamoko, from the San Francisco Bay area? It may have been converted from a Sternwheeler, by the looks of its lines. Help?

Help? As far as I know, there aren't any members on here with any particular background in this area. Maybe look for a facebook group?
