Looking at a road trip from the south to the north this summer. Planned route: Vancouver - Prince George - Prince Rupert - Dease Lake - Whitehorse - Dawson City - Eagle Plains - Inuvik - Tuktoyaktuk. Back to Rupert and ferry to Hardy to Victoria (to visit friends). Then back to Vancouver.
Looking for any info from people that have drove in this area.

What kind of vehicle will you be driving on the gravel beyond Dawson? You will need two spare tires and preferably one of them is not a so-called doughnut temporary spare. Also, avoid camping at Engineer's Creek on the Dempster.

I did this drive last year - you are welcome to send me a PM with any questions Bring a car with good ground clearance, that’s reliable, and bring at least two full size spares.

Sorry for the late reply , life kicked in:)
I will take the truck (F-150) with off road tires (BFgoodrich T/AKO2). I have 5 spares of (4 the old tires - 30,000 km still new - but re rimmed) different tires, but will take 3.
I will bring a tent (F-150 bed tent) + camping, but looking at motel on route.
Planned 9hrs a day driving with 2 to 3 day breaks at key stops.
