Looks like the Hyak is planned to be decommissioned in October and the Tillikum will be in permanent relief/emergency fill in.

You notice that WSF has made every opportunity to publicize their fleet renewal plan? You can tell the legislature is in session.

I think with all the steel replacement recently done on the Elwha they are keeping her around longer. Wonder how they are paying for all this...

In WSFs defense, that storm came on pretty quickly. The forecast said the storm was going to hit in the early afternoon and I kept wondering why nothing was happening. Then at about 6 the storm hit hard and sudden, I lost power for a few hours. They put out a service notice after that run that they were only half loading the Hyak. Also, you can see that they had "short loaded" the Hyak...there are no cars right at the chains. They just didn't do it enough.

Look at how rusty the Hyak is...I'm sure that salt water bath doesn't help.

Because they modified the schedule to suit three Issys on the route assuming that the three Evergreens would never be on the route again, short an emergency situation.

Love the 67 Ford WSP car. They used the inverted State Patrol logo from 65-67.

Problem with the Puyallup is that she is too big for any other drydock. Its either the big one at Vigor or go to Vancouver. This is the only way she can get back into service in a timely manner.

The Flying T wasn't centered on the stacks. It was positioned lower than the three other Supers.

The Olympics won't be redesigned at this point, it would add too much cost.

The KDTs are here to stay, they aren't going anywhere. I don't see why you pointlessly argue getting rid of them. WSF is building Four Olympics and no more smaller boats. Frankly, keeping up this line of argument undermines your arguments on Whatcom County buying the Hiyu.

Is it just me, or did they make a huge scratch down the rubbing strake on the last picture? Looks like they slid on the dolphin. That big white mark isn't in the 1st photo.

The 4th Olympic is in both of the Transportation Packages by the Senate and House. If they come to agreement on the differences between the bills.

Went to the sale this morning in Parkland of all of the salvaged parts. They "opened" at 8am, I got there at 7:50am. The place was packed and almost everything of value was already sold. The only cool thing left was one of the engine covers and I couldn't stomach paying the $2500 they wanted, as much as I wanted it. All of the portholes had already sold.

Did anyone get any artifacts off of her? I read that some had been sold off, like the portholes and pilot house.
