They where switching her out with the Spokane where the Spokane now sits at eagle harbor the Spokane is now in Todd ship yards According to the maintenance schedule, the Spokane is in for her Coast Guard Drydocking Credit and (don't hold me to this) replacing her 5-bladed prop with a 4-bladed one because of her excessive vibration.

Looks like the Chimacum and Samish are going to run together. It’ll be interesting to see two Olympic class sisters side by side and not see the Samish running in the San Juans.

I was riding the Wenatchee to Seattle and noticed the end of her #2 end jackstaff was missing. How long has it been like this?

I couldn't help but notice that two of the whistles are missing. Is the Nanaimo going to stay like that when it is sent to Fiji? If so, will the other two whistles be repurposed elsewhere?

Does anyone know what WSF did to fix the engine in which the crankshaft broke. I know on the New Westminster, BCF re-engined her. Same with the Kitsap. They replaced the engine. With the same model engine? If so, are the engines rebuilt or brand new? Or are they mismatched models?

I couldn't help but laugh at the 20-30 minute delay on FVS vessels when they claimed the Tillikum was the Tillikum State

Taken from the Washington State Ferries weekly bulletin:
"On Friday Aug.19, during the afternoon Seattle to Bremerton commute, Captain Dave Frombach saw a small motorboat in the commercial shipping lane with two young men paddling feverishly to get out of the ferry's way. Captain Frombach immediately stopped the 440-foot ferry, announced to the passengers there was a vessel in need, and called out to the boaters to ask if they needed assistance. They had already called for help and were in good condition, but had run out of gas. The two men were amazed by the captain's kindness and his willingness to stop on such a busy day. The story was covered on Sunday night by Q13 Fox. I wish to thank Captain Frombach and the whole Walla Walla crew for being such professionals and for your dedication to the maritime community! "
Q13 Fox posted the Walla Walla as a foot ferry. Found it kind of funny.

I was scouring through the Washington State Ferry contracts and I noticed one on the Sanpoil. It said that it was going to for drydocking and the contract was awarded to Dakota Creek Industries. How is that going to work? Are a few employees coming out, or is the vessel going to get driven to the facility in Anacortes?

"ferry story" by Micheal S. (Can't quite recall his last name?)Michael Skalley is the name of the author. I think this is the route the Kittitas made her inaugural voyge on after the barges. It might be. By the way, on the same day the ISSAQUAH celebrated her first birthday by bashing Fauntleroy on December 29, 1980, the KITTITAS did the same, but with lesser damage, to Lofall on the Canal. I was at the Eagle Harbor VMC that day touring the retired VASHON. The staff there were being assembled to go to Lofall to fix the dock that afternoon. It was a traffic circus that evening at the Seattle waterfront with cars going to four destinations rather than two. "It was a traffic circus that evening at the Seattle waterfront with cars going to four destinations rather than two." Knowing on that particular evening that those destinations were Bremerton, Winslow, and Vashon; was that fourth destination to South Point? Read more: ferriesbc.proboards.com/thread/8347/beach-girl#ixzz4868BbtrgI think with the four destinations was inferred to as: Winslow, Bremerton, Southworth, and Vashon.

I was trying to ask why is there no WiFi on the Spokane? Is it because there is a different server on the Seattle-Bremerton than on the Edmonds-Kingston?

OK, I'll bite. Why are you posting an image of the Bremerton schedule? Is it because Spokane is there? If that's the case, it was already mentioned in the post before yours. It was a mistake, I picked the wrong photo

Walla Walla is finally back at Bremerton for a week. Unless if something goes wrong. First time since the Tacoma went out, when she was replacing the Wenatchee.
