Try abe.com . It's basically amazon for used books. I got a copy of the Ships of British Columbia on it for like 10 bucks. It is in new condition too.

Could you imagine if the Super C-Class pulled what the Alberni did in 1979 hopefully the Flensburger way works You realize ANY ferry can do that, right?

If you notice the quote: "Could you imagine if the Super C-Class pulled what the Alberni did in 1979 hopefully the Flensburger way works" meaning he hopes that the new Super C's will be able to turn through active pass with the AZ pods.

yes they can. those ships will be able to turn in thier own length, they will be like the K class. Manuverable as hell.

Well lets hope they are right

I could see them being able to turn on a dime, maybe not as fast as say a K-Class could because of their length, but I can see it.

Probably could make a full 360 degree turn in almost 2 minutes

Here are some pictures I drew on paint of the new Super C. It took a careful eye and a steady hand to do this and 2 hours of work. So I hope it looks alright. Here is what it should look like out of the water. I know the propellars on the Az pods are a bit sketchy but you get the idea. www.geocities.com/chris_iscool2001/SuperC.bmpAnd here's what it would look like sailing along Bowen Island. Hmm....ipifany, copy and paste on to a real picture of Bowen Island....But here it is. www.geocities.com/chris_iscool2001/SuperCsail.bmpIf they don't show up, click the link.

It's good just the car deck is a bit too high

Ok, I've made it with a bit shorter of a car deck and stretched it out a bit and made it quite a bit smaller. I even added to more pictures to it for backround, I have it passing the Queen of Saanich in Active Pass. But the Island in the backround is actually Bowen Island as you pass on the Langdale route going around that corner. Again if it doesn't show up, try the link. us.share.geocities.com/chris_iscool2001/Activepass.bmp

I will probably start on a real picture of a Super "C" when I get time in a few weeks. I will take sections of both ships and buildings (unlikely) to actually make it look real. It may take a few days to complete though.
