Add who can forget... I just had to append the " Disco, Baby"...Groovey Nice! That really adds some flare to it. I actually thought it was a moderator who was experiencing a flash from the past and sneaking something extra onto my post. So when the Nor-Disco actually arrives, should everyone attending any official ceremonies wear their white leisure suits, make sure their side-burns are properly grown out, and then retire in the evening for a fondu?

Re: Nicknames for "Coastal" Ships.
I refer to the Coastal Renaissance as the "Renny", and the Coastal Inspiration as the "Inny", but the Coastal Celebration won't play along with the theme in this name game.
Does anyone have a good idea for a name theme for these girls?

How about we just call it the Coastal Celebration and leave it at that

Renny Inspie ...and the crews of Route 1 call the CC, C-Cel, but pronounced like the name Cecil.

In tribute to Neil, I think that the Island Sky's official forum nickname should be Fat L'il Porker ....

Even though this may be inhuman to say this about a person on a publicly viewed forum like this, there was a big fat lady who played for the Los Angeles Roller Derby team in the 1970s. While the rest of the players on this team wore one or two digit numbers, she wore the number 747 on her uniform. No wonder why the LA team won so many Roller Derby events. Oh, yes, there were scuffles in these events and there were penalty boxes inside the "rink" (these sin bins usually fell apart as they were constructed very cheaply).

I'm just going to suggest Island Scum... only because she replaced the Queen of Tsawwassen

In tribute to Robert Culp, how about the I-Spy? Hmmmm... I spy, with my critical eye, something that is not a real ferry. Call it the Island-Castle-in-the Sky because it's clearly in the realm of fantasy.

I shall call her 'Lucy'. I believe that it was Mr. Fluge who first connected her with with a certain Beatles tune off of the A side of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Lucy in the Sky for ever!

I like this album! I especially like the ending of the final piece in which the pedal of the piano is held down. I enjoy the science of sounds (lasting acoustics in cathedrals and the Taj Mahal and the study of how long it takes for piano notes to subside when the pedal is held down). Good choice of nickname for the MV ISLAND (LUCY IN THE) SKY!

Coastal Cavitation
Coastal Resonance
Coastal Underutilization
Skyscraper (depending on the skill of the Route-7 master, while berthing)
