The view from above is great. I especially like the photos with workers in them because you can see the scale of everything.

Curtis:
In the May 11th photo, what deck do you think the red-structure is? Do you think this is the main car deck, or 1 deck below?
I guess that the top-part of the red thing might be the floor of the main car deck?

It would appear that it is the floor of the car deck by comparing the module plan to the picture.

Definitely the Main Deck.
Notice the three "holes". The upper two are for the diesel generators and the bottom is for the electric drive machinery.

You won´t see a new module every day, as we have to weld the modules together before we set another on top or beside. And there are some meters of weld seams. Over 24m in breadth, the shell plating and every single bulb profile. So give us a little time.

Herr Brinkmann we are so used to Flensburger's super human feats of ship building we now expect to see a ferry blossom before our eyes in faster than Flensburger super speed. ;D Maybe the live webcam will keep us satisfied for a week or two and then we will want a play by play reporter to explain everything we are seeing.

We could make it a Soap Opera - or something like Big Brother ;D The reason for a "slow" blossom is the rain we have for 2 weeks now, so everything blooms slower... (just kidding)

Haha Big Brother - The Ferry Edition! And as far as Soap Operas - we can have a bunch of those starting with the Young and the Ferryless.

Today's Update: More Progress made. On another note, I think we saw bigger progress on the weekend with the CR...or CLR. Isn't the CI...or CSI behind schedule as it is? ...CC...or CBC...Okay, that one doesn't exactly work in that order...Okay, without captions this time. C. Rene, The Inspirer, and Coast Celebrator.

Like an espisode of CSI. But which one? CSINY, CSISoBe, or the original CSILV. Hmm still brewing on the idea of a ferry reality show lol.

So, when will we get to see the live webcam?

Sorry for my overhasty announcement of a live webcam. It will take some more weeks. We will also install a cam to look on the pier where the already floating vessel is beeing outfitted and one cam in the building hall. Then we need a special agreement with the workers´council that it is ok for everybody that he´s is filmed and watched by the world when doing his job. So, this is the biggest problem for now But I will keep you updated

Then we need a special agreement with the workers´council that it is ok for everybody that he´s is filmed and watched by the world when doing his job. So, this is the biggest problem for now But I will keep you updated Ah those pesky personal rights and freedoms! ;D Privacy, schmivacy! Nothing can stand in our way of seeing our beloved new ferries coming together! Thanks for the update. I sort of figured that this could end up being some kind of a sticking point (Getting permission from the union/council). I don't think that I overstep my privledges here as a visitor/user of this forum in saying that I would be pleased if you invited (or at least made aware of) some of your fellow co-workers to this forum and our insane appetite for all things BCFERRY .... ;D

Yes Herr Brinkmann, Hardy is right. Invite all the workers to the site and they will become infected as one of us ;D and then of course they will agree to the cam.
