LOL ;D Our "module-painting-department" used an old plan for the first to vessels. In fact, the plan for the last ship is the correct one- cool no one from us noticed! So, every vessel has been built according the same scheme - no differences in the layouts. funny that you mention that the vessels were all built the same...cause i don't remember the modules being all that different that's why i picked up on what vessel watcher was saying.

Now that the MV COASTAL RENAISSANCE has made it safely here and that we are in a happy mood, it's time to turn our attention to the third ferry to be launched in the matter of hours. This is the MV COASTAL CELEBRATION. Folks, savor this image as we are in the last hours of seeing a double-ender in this magnificent building. To Mr. Markus Brinkmann, what is the time when the bottle of bubbly is scheduled to be cracked on the CC?

There is now daylight in beautiful downtown Flensburg. The gate appears to be lowered and there is water on the production floor east end. Another question to our German friend who has patience like a saint answering ours: When do the Polish ends get installed?

One deckhouse will set today directly after launching, the next one will follow tomorrow. The funnel will then be set after a few days. No time to relax, always going with full speed ;D We also will see the first deckhouse block of 748 on its building place in mid-january.

People are now congregating on the side. Tugs move into positions. Name is unveiled. LAUNCH! SHE IS FLOATING! Approaching the outfitting dock. The shore has her lines. Finishing the make fast of the mighty new ship to the dock. All fast to the dock. Let the outfitting begin!

That's really annoying when the cam cuts -out just seconds before the launch... I got the cam working again only to see CC floating out in the harbour.

Markus, What is the clearance from the propeller hub to the leading edge of the bulb on the rudder. Looking at the photos, there can't be more than 20-25cm, and actually I think it is less. Can't carry very much "dead" water in that little gap!

No way I was going to make it up early after the CR keeping me up late lol!! My pleasure. I wouldn't miss this last opportunity to see a double-ender launch there in Mr. Markus Brinkmann's beautiful neck of the woods! Meanwhile, as I was sleeping, her ends from Poland were rapidly put into place. FSG is sure the fastest shipbuilders in the world, with some prudence added! ENDS ARE IN PLACE.

Watch the video of the launch here: from a very interesting angle! WOW!!!, that`s the coolest one yet markus, i love hearing the c/i`s horns welcoming her sibling into the world, i can`t believe how slow it goes without stopping ,how do you guys regulate the launch speed? ,with chains ,like the old days? , i also liked the super flush anchor recess ,i never noticed that before.
