Markus,
There doesn't seem to be any real rush to plaster on the Olympic Banner along the sides of the CC. I was thinking that seeming that Turkish Ro-Ro will be pushed into the water in a month, that the 3M crews would be working on the one side that is up against the pier. That way when the Turkish Ro-Ro is in the water, the 3M crews can apply the decals on the other side, which is how the Coastal Renaissance had her decals applied. The Coastal Inspiration had some of her decals applied before she was even launched, and the rest were applied right after she was in the water. So I'm sort of surprised that there hasn't been any sort of signs of the decals being applied on the CC yet.
Thanks for any insight you may provide.

I don´t know the schedule for applying the decals. I also think, they should start soon to have on side ready before launching of the Turks. Then they can put the CC on the other side of the pier and do the rest.
Announcement: There will be an article about applying the decals on the CR in the Canadian Magazine "Signmedia" (www.signmedia.ca). It should come out end of February.

Hey Brink, before the CC finally embarks on her delivery voyage, do you think you could get someone to install one of these systems on her? www.siitech.com/sol_long.htmThis would allow us to track her entire voyage from Flensburg to Vancouver on one AIS tracking site. ---- Oh, and they're now putting the appliqués on the CC.

Delivery is planned for May, 9th. Yep, that's what the schedule says on FSG's website.

Hopefully this one will leave right on schedule. The CI's schedule is kind of off by a week or two.

Perhaps CI had to wait for a portrait of the Queen to be flown in prior to her departure? Markus: Can you confirm if the CC will have a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II installed prior to her delivery voyage? (CC's delivery voyage, NOT the Queen's!) Just thought I would ask, present circumstances being what they are and all!

I was watching the Live Cam Feeds of the Coastal Celebration at FSG, & as of 6:45pm our time (3:45am FSG Time) I can see movement of Workers on the Ship. So it looks like they have Workers 24/7 Possibly? (I moved this from another thread, as it's relevant to this here thread). Terry: I think that FSG does have multiple shifts, either just temporarily, or maybe even regular. I recall people webcam-watching and commenting on night-time work activity.

Notice that the plate that says "NB 735 / X DAYS TO GO!" is now on the CC's hull. I wonder; what is X right now?

If you check the Coastal Renaissance thread for the answer, I remember asking Markus about that. They have had a second shift and even some weekend work. If I remember correctly they do prep work, welding and painting at night.

We have a night shift, but only for painting. Normally we have two day shifts for the shipyard workers. The first goes from 6am to around 3pm (depends on overtime) and the second day shift from 2:30pm to around 10:30pm.

I wonder; what is X right now? Man, I get so tired of solving for X ... Y^2 / (1/3)Z - <cuberoot>Z Simple! Of course, I cannot tell you what Z and Y are either ....
