And now from Langdale the Queen of Coquitlam is coming to Departure Bay. The Coquitlam is currently providing an extra sailing on route 3 on Thursday, Friday and Sunday until.... end of June I think. This is in the schedule. Currently deadheading to/from departure bay for this. I would guess that the deadheading will turn into revenue sailings once travel restrictions are lifted for Vancouver island. Why don’t they base the Queen of Coquitlam out of Langdale instead of wasting fuel and money on unnecessary deadheads between Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay.

The Coastal Inspiration has been out in the Strait this evening, and is heading back in to Departure Bay now. I assume this is sea trials before resuming service later this week.

Salish Eagle heading north to replace the broken down Orca. According to Marine Traffic, she's bombing along at 15.8 knots, a speed I don't recall seeing the Salish class vessels attain on any regular crossing.
Update: 16.8 knots at 3:40pm. She's definitely shaking the cobwebs out, probably with some tidal help.

Believe this is likely prep before running to Nanaimo on Tuesday - unless they've since changed what is due for that assignment.

Believe this is likely prep before running to Nanaimo on Tuesday - unless they've since changed what is due for that assignment. Island Gwawis is tried up along the pier in Nanaimo Habrour terminal and Island Kwigwis is tried up Departure Bay. I believe on Tuesday these vessels will move to there planned bases of operations. I wonder if BC Ferries will switch the terminals of both of these vessels every once a month to keep with same amount of hours.
