A lot of good discussion happens on group trips that is never carbon copied onto the forum. Are we going to start carrying tape recorders now just to share everything here?

If there's no desire to post about things learned, then there's no desire. Simple as that. If it's work for someone, then it's not worth doing. But it doesn't have to be all or nothing.

If I recall correctly, that discussion on Facebook began due to a comment from a non-member.
It then went from a civilized discussion, then abruptly changed into a personal attack when another forum member joined in. No, I think it started with the original post.

We don't have to do that, just like we don't have to copy the FB conversation over to here. After all, according to Scott (Former Account), it just turned into a personal attack and I'm sure most of us wouldn't really care to see that.

I've seen various amounts of winning flagship photos. This month we have four, sometimes there has been eight.
Question for the moderators... how is the amount of winning photos decided?

I've seen various amounts of winning flagship photos. This month we have four, sometimes there has been eight. Question for the moderators... how is the amount of winning photos decided? Speaking for myself, I don't really know. But here's the results for the last 4 months: March: 19 nominations, 4 winners February: 20 nominations, I think it was 8 winners (but I'm not sure, but definitely more than 4) January: 15 nominations, 6 winners December: 21 nominations, 8 winners For March, there was a 4-way tie for the next group that didn't win. If those 4 would have been included in the winners, then it would have been a group of 8 winners. I think that 6 is probably the optimal number of winners. I think 8 is a bit too much, but it happens sometimes because of ties. If I was to guess Scott's thinking on the current flagship results, he probably thought that 8 was too much, and so the only other choice was 4. 4 was a better choice than 8. Those are my thoughts. ================== In other news, it was the first nominations ballot without a Wett/White Coast item, perhaps the first time that has ever happened. So it felt incomplete.

In the "Other BC Ferries" board can we split out the V2V Ferries info from the Victoria foot pax ferry thread into its own thread? Looks like this company has proven its legitimacy and financial backing.
The current thread, while an interesting chronology of projects, is full of "stuff".

Thanks for contributing and being on top of this one.
