Yeah, I'm using that skin right now.
Mac, we are NOT switching software. Proboards is fine. Besides, with a guy like Jordan on the job, this board will be whipped into shape in no time.

I agree the "West Coaster Ferries" Scheme is pleasant on the eyes, (I've been using "Light" ever since it came out, since I found it to be the lease hard on the eyes (going from say looking at the hard blue then white, that's when the eyes hurt).
Well Done Jordan.
Also I didn't start the conversation about switching boards, Queen of Saanich did and I was just replying with my thoughts and suggestions.

Mac is 'write' about not starting it, and anyway, since this thread is 'questions and suggestions', I don't really think things have gotten off track here. Even if we don't agree about some of the suggestions.

here's an idea for making contacting people easier. Add a profile field (private) that would be for your phone number. The create a customer public usergroup that that person is the leader of and they can accept/deny people to there "enhanced profile page."
Another cool idea is use the Calendar to show "Upcoming Ferry events" and they would appear on the forum welcome page (or any forum page).
Another great feature would be "e-mail contact form" so that instead of people having their e-mail address open to bots harvesting it, it links to a form that would keep the persons e-mail address private until they reply to the e-mail yet still allowing people to freely contact them via the form (also needed would be a enter code from image to prevent bots sending spam to people).
What does everyone think? Would these ideas help improve this forum?

I'm really not sure if this would be good or not.

What he said, My verdict
Enhanced profile Page? I don't think so. Forum Calender of BC Ferries Events? Uh, perhaps. E-mail address? I guess.
But I'm not quite sure on how this will improve our forum over what we already have.

Mac, there is an option called "keep e-mail address hidden".

This is a good idea if you ask me. I think we should use the calendar more then just posting birthday's. Post ferry events there and info about the event I think it would be a real help also i do like the new theme Jordan made. Also, i have a question about westcoastferries.ca
Who owns the copyrights to this site? When is it coming out?
And heres my suggestion to the forum. When this westcoastferries.ca comes out, I think we need a sub-domain for the forum IE (westcoastferries.ca/forum or ferriesbc.westcoastferries.ca) it makes the forum look more professional. You can't stop me from asking questions i will go on and go on until my questions are heard and answered i am getting very annoyed about that, and i don't care how this post looks, i think it looks edited enough.

Dan, that option completely prevents people from e-mailing you. while using a contact form keeps it private from everyone while still allowing people to contact you.

Some people do not want to be emailed and you have to respect the person's option if they do not want to be emailed.

Hear hear. Also, remember almost anyone can register, so god knows who's e-mailing you.
The calendar idea's okay, I guess. Also, being affiliated with westcoastferries.ca sounds great.
Kudos to Jordan for the translation.
