Hey everybody I'm Fiona,
I'm a student at Capilano College currently in the Early Childhood Care and Education program. I found out about this site from Jordan (aka Coastal Skier), who also happens to be my boyfriend, lol. I love Lord of the Rings (that says so in my name), can speak German, and I ride horses. I also love to travel on ferries and feel the wind on the my face! The church that Jordan and I go to is Saint Cathrine's in North Van.
cheers, Fiona

A very vague answer from a percevied to be intelectual. Your definition of "forum" is much different from mine.

Back to Arwen:
Here's hoping that Jordan doesn't change his username to "Coastal Aragorn".

We noticed. --------------------------------------------------------------- I think Jordan looks enough like Frodo as is... j/k Jordan maybe a round trip on the Rivendale Queen would do us some good (I think the Queen of Vancouver would look worse then that)

To our new member "mvqoscc".
What does the 'cc' in your nickname stand for??
Motor Vessel Queen of Surrey Charlie Chaplin?
Most Venerable Quasi Oragami Sunshine Coast Queen?
new members usually find this page after 6 months or so.....so we will have lots of time to come up with different variations of MVQOSCC.....except lower case as e.e.cummings would prefer and as is now all the rage.

Hi Everyone! My name is Kathy and I live on the Sunshine Coast. I've been doing the commuting thing on Route 3, both full and now part-time, since 1993 so I've become well aquainted with ferry travel. I have a special place in my heart for the Surrey and I never tire of seeing her round the point into the Bay for my trip home. Oh - the CC stands for C-Class. Apart from the commute, I love all our ferries. With a brother in Powell River and a sister in Victoria, I get to take lots of fun trips! I'm really enjoying your forum - there's so much going on here! Thanks for letting me post and be a part of the group!

It's good to have you aboard, Kathy! One of my profs at Cap College commutes to North Vancouver from Roberts Creek. Would you happen to know Brett McGillivray?

Hi! The name doesn't sound familiar but it looks familiar. I wonder if he's ever written letters to our local paper - perhaps about our ferry service. I confess I always read ferry articles and letters and you have to identify yourself for publication. Thanks for the welcome!

Hi Alan!! [Insert waving here] I thought, who else would say, "How can you have a poll without the MV Queen of Tsawwassen. E-gad Man!" Hey, any luck with the search for a photo of the Surrey in her baby-blues? Thank you for the welcome! Kathy

Forgive my ignorance...
So, Ferry-Chaser-Man is Chris? And those are your pics?
Oh, the man himself! Thanks so much for your photos. I used to sign on and look at them throughout her long MLU. I used to watch her progress from the Lion's Gate Bridge on my ride into town, but I couldn't get that close to her. Your pics were really nice to see!

So thank you for visiting my photos site.

Here we have Yesterday's Queen of Surrey: This photo would be from when the original Q of Surrey had become the Q of the North. There is just one life boat per side, and the BC logos are there too. So the photo must be from around about 1983. Another visual clue is the Bella Bella foot passenger ramp.

The Queens of Surrey and Oak Bay, are my favourite C-Class, and on my top five list out of the fleet. Oaky and Surrey are nearly identical, but their horns are tuned, just slightly different. I like the ladder up to the bridge windows on the C Class. I wonder how long it took them to realize that was a stupid idea?
