Wow - thanks for the captures. The UN Akdeniz cannot pass the Kiel Canal, as she is abt. 1.5m too high. So she has to go round north Denmark.

Many thanks for announcing the time of launch (in another thread). As a grandson of a late shipbuilder, having the privilege of seeing the construction, launch, trials, and deliveries via live webcams is priceless. Meanwhile, the UN AKDENIZ is making great progress at a handsome speed of some 20 knots. It's dinner time there in Flensburg (breakfast for us here). Beautiful view of this newbuild.

As of the time of this posting, the UN AKDENIZ is in English Channel. Mr. Brinkmann's company sure knows how to build fast ships. She is traveling at more than 22 knots!

Yes thanks for that. That makes it look so easy. Like snapping together LEGO blocks. Hope he does the same thing for the NorEx wink wink.

That is one big ferry. One of those would get BC Ferries into commercial lift in a big way.

If the schedule on FSG's site is true, this may be the final night for the UN KARADENIZ at FSG. FSG's schedule shows a delivery date of September 12.

Happy Sunday evening! www.shipais.comThe UN KARADENIZ passed over the area of the Channel Tunnel, also known as the "Chunnel", in the Strait of Dover at about 2232 PDT this evening. She is the one inside the small white square box. As you can see, she is not lonely as there are many other different ships in the flow. So, all is well (as Mr. Makus Brinkmann and FSG would like to hear). She'll be out onto the Atlantic in a few hours. This'll be the last update of this ship, unless the timing is right and I spot her on another tracker as she gets closer to her new home. Best wishes and fair seas, UN KARADENIZ!

Looks like Flensburger has a Star Trek fan on staff who always wanted to make a Borg ferry. First captain... Locutus?

Well, as quickly as FSG does things, the first module for the next RORO has been placed. While I won't be posting much on this building after this contribution, let's all just sit back and enjoy watching these amazing shipbuilders put this together. If I do find something interesting, I'll post it if desired. Another salute to FSG!

Can't do a screen capture at the moment but a cool lift taking place on the latest Turkish Ferry. Next deck up from the main deck has a piece sort of hanging in the air as they work to weld it in place.

The RORO's Grow page on the FSG website has been updated with the next Turkish Vessel Yard 750, plus 6 ferries for Cobelfret of Belgium. Yard 738 for Cobelfret is obviously next as cutting and assembly of modules already has begun.

Look in the RoPax area to see an Alberni replacement.
