For the month the June, the forum flagship will be any ferry/ferries (past or present) anywhere in the world. The usual rules apply along with the following: (1) pictures in your personal collection are allowed. (2) pictures with more than one ferry in them are allowed.

Alright, here's a couple entries to kick it off They're a little less than fantastic in quality this time, so my apologies.

Okay, when you say a Ferry/Ferries Anywhere in the World. You do mean ANY Ferry/Ferries in the World?

It looks like an opportunity to discover all the ferries that get passed over or missed by the themes that we ordinarily have. Despite the face that BC Ferries and WSF are the world's premier ferry systems , there are other possibilities out there. And, just to throw an example out there, I think that Flugel Horn's current signature picture (the little B&W ferry boat) is an artwork. Just as an example of something out there I personally like. So I think we all have some neat pictures like that which would be good for this. It sounds like something that anyone with a good ferry picture can participate in.

My entry is nothing exotic but good old translink Albion ferries. Mod note: full size pic does not meet size requirements

Sorry about side tracking (I'm sweating as I type this) but in Curtis' 1st photo, does the "Azzurra" look the our Queen of Prince Rupert a little bit? Maybe an evil step-sister?!
SORRY

[off-topic] Sorry about side tracking (I'm sweating as I type this) but in Curtis' 1st photo, does the "Azzurra" look the our Queen of Prince Rupert a little bit? Maybe an evil step-sister?! SORRY You bring up an interesting point. I did some digging, and here's another picture of the Azzurra from a different angle. www.simplonpc.co.uk/JKL-GH/Grenaa-1964-06-Azzurra.jpg[small-talk] It appears as though the ship is of the same overall design, but has different features. Here's my nominations: Both are of the MV Island Home in Massachusettes, one of two Ferries elsewhere in the world I've been on. OK, I'm having a heckuva time trying to crop pics for being exactly what the rules and regs say. So hopefully I'll have a link to the full sized ones at least before the deadline....

I will go with the Tenaka EDIT: How come my picture didn't show up? Moderator Note:
The picture will not show up as you are trying to post a picture that is 1024 X 768. This forum in its updated form does not accept pictures that are over 800 pixels wide.
You must crop and resize this photo to fix in the requirements for a flagship entry; this means that it must not exceed 960 X 240 in dimensions, 800 X 200 posted to the forum.

I played with it a bit...and I think it is an issue with the search portion of the image link. I modified the link so it works, but the photo is too large to post in its original size. Crop it to 900x200 for the full size and then resize it to 800 wide before you post it...also, look how the link looks now that I modified it. I removed the img tag on both so just the link is shown. EDIT: Scott, I changed the coding to show the image and it showed up in my post...as I had corrected the link...so the size wasn't the issue...lol...then I changed it back as it is way too big ...it was as I said, an issue with the link...if there is a setting to limit photo size, that's great, but it isn't set.
