Sharpening aside, that picture is a beaut! You never see three C Class ferries docked at Horseshoe Bay at once, especially since there never are two Route 2 ferries based out of HSB.

I'm enjoying the nominations that are coming in!
Just a reminder to Ship rider and NewFlyer,
You must remember to post a link to the larger full sized banner, in order to be included with the ballot at the end of the month. I figured that rule out the hard way for this month.

Okay, I have a late Entry of the Quinsam. Although, This photo might be a bit Offside since this was taken in 2005 when she still had her Dogwood Colours. Where was this picture taken from? Horseshoe Bay.

Have you tried a high pass to fix the clarity of your pictures Mill Bay? That requires some explanation... I'm not sure what that is. And about the coincidence of three C's at HSB at once... I believe in the summer of '88 they had four vessels running on route 2, and one of them had issues, meaning that one of the other route 2 ships ended up in berth at the same time, as well as the Langdale vessel... I don't know if there was a second vessel on Langdale at the time, but, if there was, it would likely have been a V-Class. In addition to that, the Howe Sound Queen was there as well and was forced to wait off of the entrance to the bay for a clear berth.

Well, in order from left to right of the 3 C's, is the Cowichan, Coquitlam, and Oak Bay.
Perhaps that photo was taken on one of the days where there would only be 2 boats on Route 2? The Coquitlam doesn't appear to be in service, because there isn't much smoke coming out of the funnel, and it doesn't look like there is any cars on the upper car deck. The Alberni and Surrey would have likely been sitting at Departure Bay at the time as well. A V-Class wouldn't have been on Route 3, because all 4 V's were running on Route 1 at the time. The Spirits were probably not even thought of at the time.
Random note: I was born right about when that photo was taken ;D.

Chris, you're making me feel old, cause I was almost six when that happened, and I actually remember seeing it. Now, 4 V's on route 1, that would have been a sight to see. I'm going with my earlier hypothesis of 4 vessels on route 2 at the time, because we were sitting there watching them, and I think we may even have been listening to marine traffic and heard that one of them was having issues. The reason there are no cars on the third ship is because it had come in, unloaded, but wasn't taking any traffic back on, so it was just sitting there empty, crowding up the berth. And whose photo are you looking at though, because I can't even tell whether there are cars on the upper car deck of any of them.
