My optimistic opinion are going to say they will service in the late spring or summer of 2020; while, my pessimistic opinion says they not going to see service. I kinda hope my optimistic opinion happens because it haves people more options.

Is Island Ferry Services LTD still alive? I am asking because there hasn’t been update since June 2019.

Well, when it comes to privately operated passenger ferry services in BC, no news is typical news. This stuff just doesn't work out, and I don't know how many more times we have to learn the same lesson. (V2V, I'm looking at you...)

It doesn't say in that latest article, but in the past, these guys were planning on running 2 boats. Is that still the case?
You guys think they have considered that V2V boat sitting idle in Victoria? A third boat would probably be overkill for a start-up, but It could probably be had for cheap.
I'll vote counter to the sentiment here. I think them launching is quite probable, but lasting power beyond 2 yrs? Definitely not impossible, but much more difficult if price point and schedule aren't competitive.

Great idea - I tried HarborLynx and really liked it. It's a great option if you want to go downtown to downtown in a hurry, but don't feel like shelling out $100 for the seaplane. Unfortunately, these services always fail, with the exception of The Vic Clipper. Hope this one succeeds.

I am wonder if Island Ferry Service while ever see the operations? I am feeling like they won’t because there has been update on Facebook or Twitter since 2019 and no news about the vessels for this route.

Quite agree however as the saying goes 'News from Nanaimo Came' maybe there's a crumb in there somewhere for foot ferry fans.

I think we would already start seeing construction or permits application for terminals in Nanaimo and Vancouver Harbour which there hasn’t been.

I don’t think four routes from Downtown Vancouver to Nanaimo will finically not sustainable. I don’t think BC Ferries would delete Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay or Tsawwassen to Duke Point.

You know sometimes Facebook doesn't refresh properly when you open it, and you see old posts? I genuinely thought this was some old share of the previous plan's iteration. My perception of time these days is pretty poor, but is this plan #3 in the last seven years or so?
