Does anyone know why you cant access the Vancouver cruise ship schedule for this season? You used to be able to last year and previous years. I cant even get the calender schedule anymore. I had it before but there was no ships listed on it. Anyone know what is going on???

The calendar style schedule was operational a few weeks ago, but as Karl remarks, it's now empty. The schedule Canucks links to seems to work just as well.

Interesting thing to point out for September 2010 cruise ship schedule for Vancouver: September 5: Statendam, Celebrity Mercury (2 cruise ships) September 12: Ryndam, Celebrity Mercury, Spirit of Endeavour, Silver Shadow (4 cruise ships) September 19: Ryndam, Statendam, Celebrity Mercury, Norwegian Pearl, Rotterdam, Spirit of Endeavour (6 cruise ships) September 26: Statendam, Golden Princess, Spirit of Endeavour (3 cruise ships) September 19 appears to be the busiest day for Vancouver in the cruise ship season, so any cruise ship fans and photographers should go down that day. Also note that Canada Place is the only cruise ship dock in Vancouver now, Ballantyne Pier is now closed. Canada Place can accomodate 3 cruise ships at one time, and 6 cruise ships are scheduled. to leave on Sept. 19. Source: www.portmetrovancouver.com/about/cruiseandtourism/cruiselineschedules.aspx

Why doesn't Ballantyne take cruise ships anymore? It was Vancouver's 'classic' ship dock!

I am actually not sure to be honest with you. However, I do know that ever since the Olympics, no cruise ship has docked there since, and Canada Place is the only place to board a cruise ship in Vancouver.

With the 5 ships that were withdrawn from that Alaska market(VAncouver) for this season there was no need for Ballantyne Pier to be used. ballantyne will re-open Sept 19th.
