How about a slightly-enlarged Super C that can carry 2100 passengers in one crossing, for use on Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay?

Currently at the bow they just have a solarium. They should push it back 2 metres and put in a bow deck, then extend the ship by 200 feet or so

It was stupid to not put a wraparound on the SuC's, and just as stupid to have no forward interior OR exterior viewing area on either of the main Northern ships, except for on the Ex, which you need to pay 30$ to see, and on the Ad, which is in the KidsZone. That always angers me.

Five 20 foot long buffet tables, each with about 30 or 40 foodpans, each heated table would have a different food theme: Table one: Seafood Table two: Italian Table three: Chinese Table Four: Canadian/American Table 5: salad bar Table 6: dessert counter against wall: 50 different drinks AND ALL FOR 18.50$!!!

The wrap around outdoor promenade has largely gone out of favor, especially in areas where there are exposed locations at the bow of the ship, like the C's have, right up under the wheelhouses. It's one area where people can't really be seen too easily, not even from the bridge, if someone were to get in to trouble in one of those spots.

Question: When the time comes to build for the Horseshoe Bay - Langdale route. I am not familiar with how full the route usually is. Will they require Major Vessels or smaller vessels about 200 AEQ - Burnaby/Nanaimo sized? or 1 of each or...?

Horseshoe Bay - Langdale will require a major vessel. Currently this runs uses 2 C class ships, the Queen of Surrey as the main boat, and the Queen of Coquitlam as the extra. The route gets pretty full in the summer, and on the weekdays with commuters to and from Vancouver.

Keep in mind the time to build a new vessel for the Langdale route is still 20+ years away at this point.

I don't think you will see a new ship on the Horse/Lang route it really doesn't need a larger ship except for summer time.
The new stuff can't compete with the old ships so why spend the millions on a ship that gets worse fuel consumption.
There is a need for a commuter run from Langdale to Vancouver.

And, don't forget those nice whistles!To add on to that, I meant to include that Deck 4 (the deck that houses the buffet on the Norex, would actually be the Upper Car deck. When the Bow Visor is raised, it also opens up like a gate for the upper car deck as well, similar to the original visors on the Cowichan/Coquitlam. Coastal Expedition is also equiped with Platform decks, but is also a little more beamier to have 8 lanes of vehicles on Deck 2, instead of 6. The Two main passenger decks are surrounded with windows. Buffet on the #1 end of Deck 5, and Coastal Cafe on the #2 end of Deck 5. The forward ends of Deck 6 are regular seating lounges with panoramic views at no extra fee ;D

And, don't forget those nice whistles!It doesn't get any better than that... just replace the hull below the waterline with the same one the existing Coastals have, including propellers and rudders, to get around the bow thruster issue.

If you scroll up a few posts to the photo I posted of the "Island Home", which is a ferry that runs to Marthas Vineyard. Take a look at her waterline, and note the two propellar symbols on each end. That image is in no way photoshopped. I was up in the bridge of the Island Home earlier that day, and also in the engine room for a tour once I got onboard again. She has a conventional single propellar at each end, much like our C-Class. Only difference is that her propellars are fixed pitch, instead of variable pitched like our C's. But to add to that, she also has one bow thruster at each end to increase manoeuverability. So, Coastal Expedition is also equiped with conventional variable pitched propellars at both ends, PLUS one bow propellar. I just couldn't zoom in close enough to edit the symbol ever so slightly .

Sorry, but where and what is Martha's Vineyard? Just a vineyard? A community? Something of the same existence as the 'Queen of Richmond'? I heard about it here an there, and know i'm curious.
