I posted this last year on Christmas Eve so I will post it again a little earlier this year. I little Poem I found in one of the old Dolphin Newsletters. It's a neat little poem.
A little christmas poem
T'WAS the night before CHRISTMAS and all through the fleet The ships were tied up, every sailing complete All the stockings were hung by the funnels with care In the hope that Saint Nicholas soon would be there Then to what the crews' amazement appeared But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer The jolly old driver looked kind of distressed In fact this old Santa seemed downright depressed "I'm looking for help," he said to the crew "My reindeer are tired and my sleigh's broken too To get to the islands, there's only one way I hope BC Ferries can help save the day"
The crew said, "Okay, we can sure island-hop But we think your request should go straight to the top" As I and the missus were getting ready for bed The crew phoned are home about the man dressed in red "Of course we'll help out," said I to the crew "It's customer service, the least we can do!" Soon they were busy delivering toys For our men and our women it brought so much joy And througout the islands, what a wonderful sight
As the SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS sailed through the night.

Lets make a toast to the Sonia! Welcome her to BC her new home, and to all the people working on her to get her ready for service! Cheers to all!!

And a toast to the good old days of BC Ferries, where fares were cheap and was smooth sailings not a wave to beat upon the fleet.

Ferry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!
Might I add another Poem/Song Though it is Non Ferry Related?
Snoopy's Christmas
O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum, [Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree] du kannst mir sehr gefallen! [Of all the trees most lovely]
The news had come out in the First World War The bloody Red Baron was flying once more The Allied command ignored all of its men And called on Snoopy to do it again.
Twas the night before Christmas, 40 below When Snoopy went up in search of his foe He spied the Red Baron, fiercely they fought With ice on his wings Snoopy knew he was caught.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells Ring out from the land Asking peace of all the world And good will to man
The Baron had Snoopy dead in his sights He reached for the trigger to pull it up tight Why he didn't shoot, well, we'll never know Or was it the bells from the village below.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells Ringing through the land Bringing peace to all the world And good will to man
The Baron made Snoopy fly to the Rhine And forced him to land behind the enemy lines Snoopy was certain that this was the end When the Baron cried out, "Merry Christmas, my friend"
The Baron then offered a holiday toast And Snoopy, our hero, saluted his host And then with a roar they were both on their way Each knowing they'd meet on some other day.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells Ringing through the land Bringing peace to all the world And good will to man
Christmas bells those Christmas bells Ringing through the land Bringing peace to all the world And good will to man
Cheers

Snoopy and the Red Barron, in my ind the greatest non-traditional christmas song there is.
it is also good to see that we are all staying away from being politically correct and still saying merry christmas and not just happy holidays or seasons greatings

I couldn't agree moreso mr fossett. It is still amazing that even our media is not being P/C. After all, my title says it all.
