I bought the book just as soon as it was released last year from Powell's Bookstore in Portland. I took a few days to get but have very much enjoyed it (like I think all ferry nuts should).
I also saw another book about SF Bay Ferries (have not purchased yet) and it at some nice pictures of the Steel Electrics. If memory serves me right I believe it has a picture of the Nisqually (Mendocino) being launched.

Evergreenfleet-- I seem to recall we'd figured as of the end of June it had sold around, what, 3800 copies or so? That sounds pretty good, given that it is a bit of a 'niche' topic. So, I'm assuming that you've now been able to buy your villa in the south of France, and are just working on the ferries as a hobby? I finally got around to ordering my copy yesterday- am looking forward to it.

I really didn't expect to make a dime off of it. While it leaves me several millions short of a villa in France, the checks when they come have been very welcome and have paid for the odd emergency car repair. I hope you enjoy the book. Looking at it the other day, the first time I've picked it up on months I found myself doing the, "Why did I choose that photo instead of something else?" Ah well. Perhaps Arcadia will want to do an updated edition when we get some new boats.

I recieved this book as a gift, from an Aunt down in Portland, Oregon for Christmas. I'm really excited to have it, and to be able to read it now, without the hassle of trying to grab a copy from the internet.
I'd also like to thank the Author, Evergreenfleet, and all who contributed to the making of the book (including Mr. Barnacle for his photos that are in it too). It's great to see books like these out there on the shelves. Just think in 20 years from now, Evergreenfleet....your book will be a collecters item (if you don't continue the publishing of it), causing all of the ferrygeeks who don't already have it, to search every used book store inside and out for it.

Funny you should mention that...I got a Christmas card from my publisher yesterday and said the book is "still going strong" so it must be selling pretty well. I'm gald you are enjoying it! It was a labor of love and I'm glad it turned out as well as it did.
