Ahh, that's what that thing's called. What's its purpose? I've always wondered if it was to enforce height restrictions, a navigational aide or for the running lights. btw, the sponson of a ship is any structure protruding over the water, which ro-ro ferries are known for. It's the reason we get splashes like this: community.webshots.com/photo/548409070/2138997120087036356BDNKFy

...superstructure that are only purpose is to block wind and water, the Ospreys are too high. So true, especially for a lake.

Ok, so where should the lake be? Long lake? Cowichan Lake? Or, Beaver Lake?

QT seems to like doing this...
So if I were to build a Queen of Oak Bay, what type of dimensions would I be looking at with the HO Scale type model. It's, 139.29 m (457') long.

if you build it out of fibreglass. the rull would cost you approx 15$ for the resin and glass, and then however much for the wood to make the mold. thats what im doing.

Mine is just out of wood, with a hollow hull for the engine. I noted that the Queen of Nanaimo would be 77 inches long. (192.5cm!) But to Build the SOVI, I need more model cars, I have lots in England. Now Mum has got a job, we could be going this summer!

LOL HO Scale is bigger than people think, just seeing it as cars and trains for the most part makes it decieving. I saw a scale version of the container unloading area in downtwon Vancouver and it was MASSIVE!
