Scott, the first one is possible but the second one you may have to squeeze down vertical wise to 210 pixels. Here are my two entries, both are Surrey pictures.

Your just jealous that i can get away with that. I don't use apostrophes very often, just for the reason that im too lazy to look for that key on the keyboard.

Chris, The Photo you have is of the Queen of Oak Bay. The Queen of Oak Bay is not Eligible as Well as the Queen of Coquitlam Since they have a month already.

Excellent Entries John!
I think I'll have to start creating threads for entries every month. This topic will get pretty long.

I will be wanting to modify the entry that is chosen out of my two. However, I hope to see a primary soon just to see the top ones from each person. Then we can have a final.

So here is what we will do. On the evening of September 29th, I will make a poll with all entries. The poll will close on the evening of September 30th, and I will put the winner up ASAP.

From searching page-1 of this thread, it looks like the consensus for November is the Main Kween (sic).
I'll start the lobbying now....for TsawwassenTerminator's picture of Mayne Queen & Bowen Queen, where 1 ship is seen in the background thru the middle-lane of the other ship. Graham knows which one I mean....it's one of my favourites from his collection.
However, I also saw a 1960's pre-stretch pic of Mayne Queen on this forum in the past week, that I thought was historically unique because of the pre-stretch era. That would be good too, although it might have been from a Beautiful-BC Magazine.

Heh, maybe this month should of had the Queen of Alberni as the forum flagship, seeming some members are taking several trips on it this month....

Unfortunately it wouldn't have worked that well for forum flagship banner, but after seeing this thread again I decided to use it as my avatar for a little while. Here's the full-sized version... Cheers, Graham

I just changed this thread's subject-line, so that this is specific for our current 1st year of flagships.
Also, kudos go to "PR Northern Teen Curtis" for having the flagship idea in the firstplace.....which we then modified a bit.

Just a reminder that April 2007 is "Queen of Coquitlam"......per Jordan's original list.

May 2007's ship-of-the-month is open for suggestions (there is no ship pre-chosen for May)....following strict observance of the Jordanian-Declaration of summer-2006. (for study of this document, see reply #21 in this here thread...it's 2/3 of the way down on page-1).
So......do you think we can use a WSF ship for May 2007? Are us BC'ers secure enough in our heritage to not feel threatened by showing a WSF ship on our forum's cover for the month of May ?
Is the time right? For this first year of monthly-covergirls, the BC Ferries have been used 100% so far, and it will end up being 11/12months by the time July-2007 rolls around.
So what do you think? Lets see if we can get some consensus on a particular WSF ship to use for May's cover-shot.
Also, speak-up if you like or don't like this WSF-in-May idea at all. The loudest critic or advocate won't necessarily get his/her way...but lets hear what you have to say.
Again, what WSF ship should be the cover-ship for May 2007? Once we decide on a ship, then we can start the thread to make your submissions.
....I can hear your brains Klick'in on that one, right now.......
