Not to be overly picky, but 9 and 10 have spelling errors... Any chance of getting those fixed before the voting ends..?

re #9 & #10:
Problem 1) - Oversized, so too big for a banner. Problem 2) - Spelling mistakes for our Province's name.
I'd say that those 2 issues would influence my vote.....
But regardless of voting, we likely wouldn't use either of those 2 banners even if they won.....because of those 2 issues.
But if you'd like to make it your "Pelle Lindberg all-star vote", go ahead.....

Jims photo of the Sidney comning into Westview won my vote. The Sidney, in my mind, is the one that should be recognized for June 2007, because she had the most historical inaugural voyage. The photo is also unique because it was probably right around when things started to go downhill for the Sidney, and as you can see, she's still looking very clean and sleak, with a fresh coat of paint in the expo scheme. It's probably the same paint that we see on her today, just extremely weathered out.
But of course, both the Sidney and Tsawwassen deserve the same amount of recognition. The Tsawwassen is unique, because she's still toughing it out for being in service still. Too bad there's no photos of the two sisters together!!

I would vote for number 9 as well, but only if the spelling were corrected in time.
I'll hold my vote for now.

Hmmm, I sit firmly on the fence still. I kinda like #2 & #3 because they have the old colour scheme for the livery. Hmmmm .... wonder how long I can stay on this fence!

I would vote for number 9 as well, but only if the spelling were corrected in time. I'll hold my vote for now. Nominations are closed, and #9 is oversized and has a spelling error.....therefore it can't be the flagship-banner. Sorry guys, but #9 can't be the winner, and nominations are closed. Besides, the #9 banner is wrong size, and the person knew the spec-rules, and still chose to do something else. So even if it's a nice picture, it can't be the flagship banner, based on how it was submitted. (can you tell that I'm tired of people choosing to ignore picture & banner size rules on this forum??)

*%^$#%^$%)&^^%^%**%&!!!!!!! (Hits Head Against Computer) Okay I agree with you that #9 is oversized but I had limits. And as for the typos, somebody could have mentioned it earlier so I could have corrected it! So now, I bring you the Revised Pic #10

Okay I agree with you that #9 is oversized but I had limits. And as for the typos, somebody could have mentioned it earlier so I could have corrected it! Question #1) What were your "limits" for the oversize issue? Was it that your picture wouldn't work within the set-criteria, and so you decided to ignore the criteria? Question #2) Do you really expect to push-down responsibility for spelling onto others, and not to check it yourself? (yeah, I'm role-playing as guidance-counsellor here...trying to teach the concept of responsibility...... ;D.)

If you want to have a personal convo, I suggest you not have it here since we are getting um how should I say OFF TOPIC!
#1 had some good scenery #2 was cool too though I prefered the snow pic #4 love the dogwood, but showed a need for a paint job #5 was the most interesting, included various elements plus a different angle of the Tsawwassen, so that is the one I voted for

Hmmm... Apparently there is an optical illusion in that pic. It looks as though there's a big steel bar sticking out of the port of the ship.

Perhaps the photographer can better explain the shadow-effect of that bridge-wing, and how it looks to be further aft than it really is.

That photograph was taken as the Queen of Tsawwassen, filling in for the Queen of Burnaby, was arriving just a little late on her first trip of the morning from Little River - Comox Terminal on the morning of February 28th. Early in both the year and the morning, the sun had just come over the hills behind Powell River casting long shaddows of everything, including bridge wings , and making for a ferry photography freak's dream conditions with the ' Tsawwassen arriving from the west. Here are the official stats from that particular photo... Shutter: 1/400 sec. Aperture: f5.60 ISO Speed: 100 ...Though the photograph was edited to be optimized.
