There are rumours abounding that there is a new colour scheme underway for WestJet. Whether it is a single plane special livery or a whole fleet redo is unknown. And of course as internet rumours go, this could all be a misunderstanding or someone who knows jack spouting their mouths off. All this is based on the latest WestJet B737-800 to leave the factory. The only two pieces painted are the rudder on the tail (composite so comes painted) and a partial view of the wing tips.
Someone has said it is an Olympic colour scheme which cannot be true. WestJet isn't the airline sponsor Air Canada is. And with 24 days left to the start of the games, doing any promo work would be a bit too late since the aircraft has to be painted and finished and then certified before it is even delivered to West Jet.
