Here's a classic Washington State Highways map I got recently. This shows the WICKERSHAM in the dock at Pier 48. That picture must have been taken in the early 1970s.

Thanks for that great picture of the Pier 48 area of Seattle's waterfront. ( The freeway's blockage of easy access to the waterfront not withstanding). The blue and gold livery on the Wickersham had to have been applied at some point later than 1970-71. The picture that Wett Coast posted on the previous page of the Wickersham at the Fairview terminal in Prince Rupert in the original white livery was definitely taken in the Summer of 1970. The picture was taken from the bridge of the Queen of Prince Rupert. The Wickersham's 1970 Summer schedule coincided at times with the Q.P.R. passing the Wickersham in transit to or from Vancouver. I have a photo of the Wickersham passing us in Johnstone Strait. My guess is that the blue livery, (which I think decreased the W's very sleek appearance) was done at a refit after 1971. A beautiful ex-Stena line ship to be sure, and a predecessor to the ex-Stena line ship that BC Ferries would put on the Northern run, the Queen of the North.

From a purchased post card, we see some interior photos of the MV WICKERSHAM.I think that solarium would be a perfect weather protected outdoor place to view the Northwest and Alaska scenery!
