Accounts that have not been logged into for 120 days or longer will be subject to deletion on August 15th.
All unactivated accounts regardless of sign-up date will be deleted, as well.

So I guess this means the end of 'Sandi', who last posted before I joined, almost five years ago. Ditto to one of our very best writers, 'BrianWilliams', who last showed up three years past, and 'Hardy', who enlivened many conversations, but hasn't been heard from in almost a year and a half. Hope those folks are all okay, and have just moved on to other interests.

Thanks for you offer of assistance, but it only takes one staff member two minutes to complete the task. We will continue to exempt those accounts that have made significant contributions in the past. That goes for all three of those accounts and likely a few more...

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the subject title was that we were all going to be given plastic trash bags and sent out on the highway to pick up litter. ;D
Of course, given our group, the stretch of highway would be at a ferry terminal.....

I thought it would be something about sorting through a bunch of our old posts and fixing any grammatical errors or false facts that we find Cleaning up the forum, that would be.

Maybe we can setup a program called "Adopt a ferry terminal". ;D I thought it would be something about sorting through a bunch of our old posts and fixing any grammatical errors or false facts that we find Hmmmmm, don't give us any ideas...

When I read this I thought you were going to ask us to take an extra shower or something. I'll wash my car just to show solidarity with the process though.

I don't think people should be deleted from their posting frequency. They should be deleted if they are inactive for a period of six months or something like that.

I do not recall saying anything about deleting based on posting frequency...
Accounts not logged into (dormant) for 120 days or longer will be subject to deletion tomorrow.

Still, why 120 days? Why not longer? Some people don't have internet access very often, yet they still want to be here as a member....

Some people have internet access often, yet they still want to be here as a member.... Ahem...120 days is generally considered to be four months. If you are determined to be a contributor here, four months is more than enough time to log into the forum at least once.* *Note - I said log into the forum, not post... I am completely clueless as to why you think this time frame is too short... Oh...I can confirm that staff do infact know how to run the forum, though.
