On a personal view I think drones are great and you can capture shots you could only dream about.
However I am concerned about the so called no fly zones or security point of view. I would not pull one out while on the ferry or fly one near terminals, especially the American Ferry terminals. They might think you are scouting it out to do something bad, Please be careful and be aware that big brother may think you are up to something else bthan Ferry fanning.
To say nothing of unless your drone is capable of considerable horizontal speed, that ferry's moving faster than you think...
Was out last week testing the new lens I bought. I've basically replaced my Sigma 18-200 zoom lens with a new Tamron 16-300mm zoom lens. so far, I'm impressed with it. I like the slightly wider aspect it gives me at the low end, and this photo here is proof that it does pretty well at the long range stuff, too. I had this zoomed pretty much all the way out to the maximum to get this shot, and I did it without a tripod, too. Turned out pretty well, I think. This particular shot of Chetzy was taken from the Cushman Trail in Gig Harbor, up near Hwy 16, so it was pretty far away.
