Okay moderators, I have no Idea where to post this so I will post it hear, I recently went for another ride on the mv Quinsam and took some video shots on board, they are located at the following site: youtube.com/novabus9228 Can anyone enlighten me why on earth this link does not work on this board, it works as it is typed hear on my Yahoo Cruise Ship site In the videos you will notice that the Quinsam does have washrooms (no I did not take pictures of the inside of the washrooms) and vending machines. In addition to the mv Quinsam I have uploading varius videos of onboard transit busses in the Nanaimo Regional Transit fleet. For your info today's Times Colinest and the Nanaimo Daily News have Front Page pictures of the interior of the New Coastal Renaissance. Apparantly the media was given a tour of the ship yesturday. ==== ==== Moderator Edit - URL missing tags. When adding a URL to the forum do the following... URLhere.

And if you want to make your links without a big long URL that sometimes doesn't copy well, do this: My YouTube Videos It would look like this: My YouTube Videos

Coho horn goes up there with the Queen of Nanaimo, seems to be like the Walla Walla's except a two toner.

I'm thinking this is what the QoT's horn sounds like. ehorn.wav - 0.92MBI obtained that sound sample by speeding up a recording of the QoCow's horn. That is also what I was hoping the Super Cs' horns would sound like.

It is more of a two key tone barnacle, same note just in different keys. Excuse my specificity if I may.

Ahem.
It was, at least at one point, a B-flat major fifth. I haven't heard it in several years.
The Tacoma's horn is a discordant, rude farting noise, at least on the Seattle end. I haven't heard the other two boats' whistles in recent times so I wouldn't swear to anything. But the Mark IIs whistles were originally tuned to B-flat, one octave apart.

Mv Quinsam Parts 5-7 added to my you tube site. I wanted to show you videos from differn't angles of the ship. The only dissapointing thing is the lack of the ships whistle. Part 5: is Departing from Nanaimo as filmed from the stern of the Vessle. Part 6: We take a tour from the Stern to the Bow via the cardeck. You just gotta have your speakers turned up to get the full effect listening to the engines as we pass the engine rooms we end this part in the lounge. Part 7: We Depart Descanso Bay and I take you back up to the bow on the opposite side of the vessle as part 6. The mv Queen of Alberni can be seen at Duke Point. FYI the dock you see beside the ferry dock at Descanso Bay is for Emergency Evacs when the Quinsam is not in service. I just love the sound of the engines Have a Happy New Year !!! I haven't a single clue who those guys are. I found the video by typing "BC Ferries" in the search engine, and then put set it to "added lately" to show the most recent postings. I take it you might know who they are, Cadmunkey?
