Proboards has made the following feature available to those who want to access this forum from a mobile device. I think it's something that needs to be purchased, but if you would like the convenience, it might interest you. This is the message they passed along:

It appears that this is an option for iPhone & Android smart phones, but not for Blackberry? If any smart phone guru's (Dane?) know otherwise, please comment.

Does anybody use the ProBoards app for Android? Is it any better than just using a browser to view the forum? Worth the 2.99 or whatever it is?

I just use the browser on my phone still. I know Mileage Photo uses the app; he should speak up to tell us a little about it.

I have the iPhone, so I downloaded the app, as the forum was crashing my 3G connection in Safari.
I quite like it, and it seems to have all the regular functionality as a browser. It is a steep price for an app, but I think I get my money's worth. I view the forum more often on my phone than on a PC. If you have a phone without at least 3G, it's probably not worth it.
It is especially nice for viewing photos, as it allows you to scroll through all the photos on the page in a slideshow form, and the best part, is that it doesn't lag when viewing!

I also use the App, because I also have a 3G iPhone in fact I'm using it right now. It's quite handy indeed as I can keep up to date on forum activity at a glance. It is also favorable to using the Safari Browser to open the forum as photo threads can be in excess of 20 pictures most times which sucks up a lot of data having Safari upload every picture on the page.
This and what Mike has already said. Make it the better alternative to a computer. Just for smartphones though. Now if they could emulate something similar to the app for mobile browsers we'd be set.

I'm thinking of buying the ProBoards app for the iPad mini. Would you recommend to buy the app or just use the Safari on my iPad mini?

Buying the App is good if you are looking to view the forum in a mobile friendly format that uses less data. You can do just about everything that you can do if you were viewing the forum through a standard web browser except modify your profile. Personally, I prefer to use the app on my iPhone when I'm on the go because it's less scrolling and zooming compared to using safari on my phone.

But, I'm reading the reviews and the top ones are saying "it sucks. Don't buy it." Can you post images from the app?
