Maybe it is time that both Langdale berths were double decked. Currently, it is the only 'major' terminal to have just one berth that permits efficient loading of double decked vessels.

Turning into Langdale That's a beautiful photo, especially with the mountains and the cloud curtain.

Even more Surrey photos. These were taken yesterday. Leaving Langdale, 2:30 pm sailing Seagull hitching a ride with us. He's on the 3:30 sailing to Langdale, as is this photographer. Another bridge shot, different lighting this time. Shortly after taking the above photo, the officer of the watch spotted a small pod of dolphins on the port side. Watch a short video of them, here: flic.kr/p/aZSannThe dolphins were quickly hidden by the rescue boat as they continued aft of the ship to play in the wake.

I picked up a new brochure on the Queen of Surrey recently - it is called "Accesibility and Safety Information" or something along those lines. It has a map of the passenger decks and information about safety, ship specs, and accesibility as said in the title. The cover of the brochure features a photo of a lifering on a Coastal with "Queen of Surrey" photoshopped in place. I'm wondering if they have printed similar brochures for other C class vessels, or any other ships in the fleet? Or is this just a Queen of Surrey thing...

They have them on at least one of the Spirits...

Great photo, Scott! IMO, Hopkins Landing is the best spot for taking photos of the Surrey on route 3.

Sorry to double post, but here are a few more photos of the Queen of Surrey from November 6th 2011: Having just made the turn around Bowen. Can you spot the ferry? One more, with the sunset reflecting off her port side:

A bunch of photos of the Queen of Surrey taken over the last couple of days. Approaching Langdale. Passing the Queen of Coquitlam in Berth 2. Departing Langdale, after the sun has gotten low enough in the sky to cast the immediate area in shadow. Seen in Berth 2, from the departing Queen of Coquitlam.

lol I can see myself in this photo. I did see a few people down on the float there... Three members were down there last night. If you heard yelling being directed at a pleasure boat that was obstructing our view of the Surrey departing Berth 3, that was me! ;D
