Buckley Bay has been a layup spot for the Quadra Queen II fairly frequently in recent years. Not surprising. I know but this quote says something different. Hey! Brand new to this forum not even sure if I can post pictures yet, but the QQII is still docked in Saltery Bay, I asked a crew member and apparently she's leaving on Tuesday to run the Cortes route in relief. The crewperson who tells you where to park your car isn't necessarily privy to actual deployment decisions, and even if they are, things change.

I also saw on daily schedule page for the route two she was supposed to provide the last two round trips on Tuesday.

It doesn't say that. It just says the vessels were to be swapped in the fall of last year. In any event... doesn't really matter. The sister ships are equally inadequate in busier times of the year.

She is now off the refit railway and back on the ways. She will float off that tomorrow, perhaps spend a few days alongside prior to heading out for trials. There was a lot of work in the bow area, perhaps a thruster overhaul.

The vessel is now under tow by a large ship handling tug, the Saam James Point, assisted within the harbour by Seaspan’s Ace. Obviously mechanical refits are not yet complete. While I do not know the tow’s destination I would assume it is to Deas.
