Oh, I completely agree that it's true. I simply felt the need to point out that fact. Oh, silly me.

Tsk Tsk, If you guys can not tell a bc Ferry by now, you never will. I am amazed that some of you are doubting that this is the Victoria. I can confirm that it is. For one, In one of the Westcoast mariner magazines not to long ago a lady wrote to the editor saying she did see the Queen of Ocoa and it had a blue hull with a ramp on the stern. Too me I am convinced without a doubt that this is the Victoria, BC Ferries are too unique of vessles to doubt.

I just find it so hard to believe that she's in that condition, it makes me really sad also, i am wondering how they would weld it all into one deck, it almost looks like the nanny!

Timelines don't mean much because by the time we hear something about the Victoria, it could be weeks or months old.
I don't understand what you mean about the hull lines not matching. I don't notice anything unusual about it.
As you would agree, the superstructure is the same as the ex-Queen of Victoria. How many ships are there in the world like the V-class ferries? Two car decks, same design of the bridge, passenger areas, cafeteria windows at the back, upper passenger deck, funnel, etc... I don't see how it could be any other ferry... unless it was a fake photo, which it obviously isn't.
How are ships identified on the scrap list? By name? Number? Could either of these have changed with changes in registration/ownerships?

There's no way that could be another Ship. The V Classes are pretty much one of a kind there's no ship like it that I've heard of

Ok, back on topic with the Victoria being in India, here's a set of pictures I edited to prove that it has to be the Victoria about to be scrapped in that picture John posted.

An interesting fact about Alang is that ships beach themselves using their own power during high tide, which isn't as common as it is here (apparently). Then when it's low tide, the low-paid workers will tear the ship to pieces.
So it sounds like once they are beached, they are doomed.

It's the Ferry that goes to PEI or something. We've discussed this ferry about 3 times now.

Yeah, if it's the one (and I think it is) that goes from eastern P.E.I. to New Glasgow, N.S., then I've been on it... or her sister, I can't remember if I was there before or after '97
