Call me a rookie maybe He says that he has been banned on here - and he doesn't know why. I haven't had a chance to get a reply back from him to my question as to "how does he (inlet explorer) know he was banned here?". Any fact to this? ...... Any info on his banning (unless he maybe is having some technical error that he believes is a banning?) might be good to pass along through a posting (suggestion on my part). Thanks! I just checked, and there's no ban on member "inlet explorer" re his user-name or email or IP address. Assuming that this isn't someone who was banned and is now using a new different user-name, I have no idea why he'd claim to be banned, unless of course he's a banned member using a new different user-name & email (like that would ever happen ;D). Again, this particular user-name / email / IP is not banned, and hasn't been. Next time you email him, ask him if he has posted under different user-names before, and find out what those other user-names are. Then maybe we can solve this mystery. -------------- As usual, use caution when meeting someone who you've never met before. Good luck with your tour & purchases.

Thanks for the info, and also the reminder about being careful about meeting those who haven't been met before. Believe me the thought (little voice) has been talking to me already about this (ok that sounded wierd, as if I talk to little voices ). I will direct him to the board, I am simply gonna wait for his reply at this point. Cheers, and happy new year

Thanks I use AutoCAD to draw the plan lines, and then import the lines into Rhino3D to create the model (nurbs and polygons). The model then moves over to Cinema 4D for texturing, lighting and rendering. Happy New Year, Andrew

Was wondering there ' bcferryfan87' if you got any idea from 'internetexplorer' as to when the tour of the Queen of Tsawwassen might be?

At last reply from this person, he says maybe in a few weeks (later in January); that was as of Late Dec, or around 2nd or 3rd Jan. I was just wondering about this today myself; there's been no other emails from him. Will let you /the board know once I hear something.

as per my post/reply a number of days (weeks?) ago, no I've hear nothing. If I hear anything I will post it, but it has been quiet re this.
I did enjoy getting to see the video by (guessing)ferryfan16 ( I think is his name )- it's linked on this site somewhere.

As I left the industrial park to head home today, I noticed that the Queen of Tsawwassen is no longer at Deas. She was there this morning. Anyone know where she might be now?

I think you're right, ProudCanuck. I just did a history replay on Siitech. At around 9:00am this morning two tugs, Westminster Hunter and Westminster Chinook came into Deas to the berth the Tsawwassen was sitting in. The Kahloke now sits in the berth the Tsawwassen was at, with the MV Sea Imp XII. But, the GPS tracking is somewhat sporatic, and it's hard to track those two vessels. However, at 11:00am, the Westminster Chinook is seen heading up the river at 9.8 knots towards New Westminster, but then disappears off the radar shortly after that. So it's really hard to tell where she went.

If my wife wasn't cooking dinner for me I would have head up River Road and gone home to Langley that way. I will have to try that way home tomorrow night. If I spot it, I will snap a pic.
The barge and crane from FRPD that was floating around Deas Dock a few weeks back is now where the Tsawwassen was.

Any chance that she could be under tow by the PACIFIC MARINER II? I copied Chris and watched the action on Siitech from this morning. There were two "WESTMINSTER" tugs, the WESTVIEW CHINOOK, then out in the river there was the PACIFIC MARINER II (operated by the same company as the WESTVIEW CHINOOK. The WESTMINSTER tugs disappeared, but the WESTVIEW CHINOOK and the PACIFIC MARINER II made their way out to Georgia Strait. Once they reached open waters, the WESTVIEW CHINOOK turned back and the PACIFIC MARINER headed slowly north up Georgia Strait and I have tracked her up to her present position, just offshore of Lund, going about 4 knots (towing speed?).

Latitude 50°11.049'N (50.184150)Longitude Longitude 124°51.253'W (-124.854223) and the pacific mariner is currently going 2.8 knots. at a unnamed cove on west redonda island.
i'm thinking that's her new home.

Rumours are floating through the grape vine lately, that the Tsawwassen is back at Deas. However, she apparently has no sundeck lounge now. Anyone nearby to confirm if this is true?

I was almost able to go check 2 days ago, but it was getting late, so I wasn't able to. I'll try and get down there before the end of the week and take a look-see.

We could show it to all of our ferry fanatics, and send out a mass email to all members of the forum notifying them of the petition. Then we can present it to BCF this spring, and they might just say yes. who's in?

THE RUMOUR IS BUSTED! The only ships at the Deas Facility are the Vancouver, Saanich, QPR, a T-class (tachek?) and Klitsa. So unless it left earlier this week, it was only a rumour. Photos to be posted soon
