Hello All. I am wondering, on Saturday, does anyone know what running position the Tillikum will be in? Thanks. -Snowy Ferries I'm fairly certain it's the #2 running position.

On the weekend schedule it is always the smaller vessel that runs in the #2 position. So it is the Tillikum or Evergreen State, Sealth etc. The Issaquah and Cathlamet trade off between the #1 and #3 positions on the weekends.

As mentioned in other threads, we request that you respect the advice of officials and curtail non-essential travel on the ferries, including fan trips. We can’t stop you, but I’m just going to continue to copy-paste this message until we hear otherwise from health officials.

This trip is going to take place AFTER the coronavirus explosion. If you’re planning this trip after this pandemic is well under control and we’re seeing a sharp decline in new cases, and health officials have removed the advisories and requirements around social distancing, I would say that this conversation in turn should also take place at that time. Not now.

Has anyone travelled on the Coho since service has been reinstated? I will be staying in Victoria for a week starting on the 22nd. Trying to cross this ferry trip off my bucket list.

I'll be going on Thursday: PA to Victoria. They're requiring a 90 minute advance arrival on the PA side for vehicles, and of course, you have to have your ArriveCAN form filled out before you get to the ferry terminal, as well as proof of your vaccines on hand - typical border crossing requirements these days. Haven't been on Coho in 3 years, or to Canada in 3 years, for that matter.

Anything interesting around the ferry terminal in Port Angeles?

Anything interesting around the ferry terminal in Port Angeles? The waterfront is kind of nice now. They've cleaned it up, and there's a city pier next to where Coho lands that has a marine life center and a viewing tower. Downtown Port Angeles is a bit depressed. Maybe it's getting better now, but there's not a lot that downtown PA offers. It's really more of a gateway to Olympic National Park. You may consider just returning on the very next sailing if the timing with customs allows. Pro-tip: if you want to do the round-trip, you'll want to be one of the first to disembark the boat, so you have time to get back in line for the return trip. The caveat to that is the whole ArriveCAN thing and how early they want you at the terminal in this post-pandemic era we are in. Check Coho's website to see what they say for foot passengers. Assuming it's possible, on the trip TO Port Angeles, get out on deck in the disembarking area EARLY, like before the boat rounds Ediz Hook to get into the harbor. Coho docks stern-in on the PA side, so the disembarking station is on the port side aft, near the doors forward of the galley / gift shop. You'll probably see a bit of a line forming.

I may be heading to Whidbey Island on the weekend. Is there free parking anywhere around the Coupeville (formerly Keystone) terminal. Thinking of heading over to Port Townsend for a few hours.

I may be heading to Whidbey Island on the weekend. Is there free parking anywhere around the Coupeville (formerly Keystone) terminal. Thinking of heading over to Port Townsend for a few hours. Coupeville (Keystone) doesn't have much in the way of parking. There are several spaces right in front of the terminal building which will likely be full, and there is usually shoulder parking across the street, some of which may be angled back-in parking. I've seen cars oriented that way before. There also may be shoulder parking along the road to the east of the terminal. There is pay parking in the gravel lot immediately to the east of the terminal. That's part of the state park, and a boat launch area.
