You can follow the progress here.
As some of you know, we will be upgrading our forum to ProBoards v5 beta software in January. To further build-up excitement, ProBoards is currently running a contest with their forums to not only allow for early adoption of the software, but to entice participation by offering prizes to top-performing forums.
As a veteran ProBoards forum, we're already in the top-ten and need your help to increase our point total!
You can help us by doing the following:

Just checked the Rankings this morning. We've moved up to 6th place and we're now at 121 points. We're eligible for an early upgrade!

Log-in using your global forum account. If you already have one, your can log-in here. If you do not have a global log-in, it takes a brief moment to setup your account. Look for the Earn Points badge and enter ferriesbc.proboards.com in the field nearby. I'm trying to help with this method but there being stupid. By saying, "my email is all ready in. But, when I try to log in it says not valid." Can some please help. I all ready got a code but I do not know where to put the code.

Hi Cheese - I was having the same problem and it took me awhile to figure it out, but i eventually did. Somehow, even though you think you are registered, you still need to go through a page where you enter in your birthday and some other info. I ended up getting two emails with activation keys, and only the second one worked. It was quite weird.

Sorry for the issues that you have experienced. I just went through it with our universal staff account, so here's the step by step...
Create your account by entering your information here.
Check your e-mail for an activation code.
Activate your account.
Enter ferriesbc.proboards.com for us to receive points.

Cheese- After you check "13 years old or higher" and hit register, you are not full done.
Go to your email, and open the email from proboards, and click on the 'click here to activate' On the top right of the proboards page, login with your email and password where it says 'login' You'll get to a sign in page with a blue and orange box, even though you think you've already registered, you haven't and need to click on the word 'register' where it says:
"We're sorry. We could not find the email you provided. Please try again or if you would like to register a new account with this email click here." (click on the here) Enter in your email again, and the next page with all your info.
You will then get a second email with a second activation key. Use this key to finish registering your account.
you can now enter in our forums URL for the contest. I hope this helps.

Oops, I forgot to mention that prizes are awarded to the top five forums...
First place receives 1,000,000 Ad-Free pageviews ($140.00 USD value) and bragging rights...
Second receives 500,000 Ad-Free pageviews ($70.00 USD value)...
Third receives 250,000 Ad-Free pageviews ($35.00 USD value)...
Fourth receives 100,000 Ad-Free pageviews ($14.00 USD value)...
Fifth receives 50,000 Ad-Free pageviews ($7.00 USD value)...
While we have been using Ad-Free since July of 2009 thanks to the generosity of our members, additional pageviews for a little bit of work is definitely worth it!
Let's show them what an outstanding forum WCFF is! Thank you for your participation!

We moved up a long way in the last 24 hours! Thank you everyone!
We still have a way to go, so tell your friends and family! You do not need an account on our forum to like ProBoards' Facebook page, nor require one to setup a global account. All you need to do is input our forum URL when requested. This means guests of our forum can share their love for us, too!
When everything is said and done, ferries shall prevail! ;D

After reading through those other forums, there is no reason that we should have been bumped to fourth place. Especially after reading a thread about Hillary Clinton's secretive Muslim affiliations to avoid testifying on Benghazi.

I have made my appeal, Jimmy Wales style, on the forum Twitter page. A tad desperate, but it will all be worth it in the end.
We are doing a good job of distancing ourselves from the Runescapers, but still not quite there yet with the NotMSNMoney forum...

As of now, we only need nine more people to do one of the two options in the first post to move into first place!

I just shared the note on the FB page to my wall, so hopefully we'll get more votes. I've already voted.

We've slipped back down to second and the forum that's in third is moving up fairly quickly. We need everyone's support!
1,000,000 pageviews would be great to add to the 500,000 we're already paid-up for thanks to our members...

We're now comfortably in third place, but the contest doesn't end until Monday, January 28th.
Unfortunately, it appears that honesty in this contest has taken a back seat, as one of the forums is now advicating the creation of fake e-mail accounts to collect points by registering them with ProBoards. While that's rather disappointing, we should be very proud of what our outstanding forum (that turns ten this year) has done.
Way to go, everyone!

Hopefully those that take part in such dishonest practices would be disqualified! Wishful thinking, most likely, but...

Thanks to all that helped out! I know we've had some problems with the new version (all on ProBoards end - thanks to Scott and Jordan for making it smooth sailing on our end) but maybe this will ease the pain a bit -> I received this message from ProBoards today:
