Yeah I dont think the midnight sailing will be busy. Who would be coming from Powell River at that time anyways. Should go earlier and do the Island Sky then come back on the midnight sailing. ooh I should do that, lol!

The Queen of Burnaby will be making an extra round trip Aug 17th to take extra traffic returning from the Comox Air Show. The extra sailings are
10:30pm Comox 11:59pm Powell River
They already have a service notice up about it. Anyone wanna get a hotel in Comox and do round trip? The midnight sailing will probably be empty Here is the service notice. www.bcferries.com/bcfservicenotice?id=806275
For the 2230h sailing, I wonder how full it will be? I do not think spending the extra money on a reservation is necessary. I know when route 1 and route 30 did the special late night sailings for the Lions games, the sailings were nowhere close to capacity. The same happened during the Olympics.

There was a medical emergency on the Coastal Celebration which delayed its 1400h sailing until 1515h. The delay forced the cancellation of the 1600h and 1800h sailing for the CC. The Queen of New Westminster will be doing an additional round trip at 2000h and 2200h.
www.bcferries.com/bcfservicenotice?id=812585
Please be advised that the following modified schedule is in effect due to an earlier medical emergency. The Coastal Celebration has cancelled the following sailings: 4:00 pm departing Swartz Bay (CANCELLED) 6:00 pm departing Tsawwassen (CANCELLED)
The Coastal Celebration will resume her scheduled sailings with the following departures: 8:00 pm departing Swartz Bay 10:00 pm departing Tsawwassen
The Queen of New Westminster has added the following sailings to her schedule: 8:00 pm departing Tsawwassen 10:00 pm departing Swartz Bay
BC Ferries will make every effort to honour reservations for cancelled sailings on the next available sailing. For traffic updates or more information please call us toll free at 1-888-BCFERRY (223-3779), check our website at www.bcferries.com or go to mobile.bcferries.com on your mobile device. We apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result of this sailing modification.

I think the New West will be dead from Swartz Bay at 10pm! The 9pm was only like 40% plus no one probably knew there was a 10pm!

The sailings from 1700h onward were able to absorb the traffic that was delayed from the 1600h cancellation. The 2000h sailing from TSA definitely did help things out.

Starting tonight, the SOBC has been removed from service, and the Queen of New Westminster was used in her place however sailing only on even houred sailings. The SOBC has been removed for propeller repairs. Tomorrow, the Queen of New Westminster is the number 1 vessel from Tsawwassen for the entire day, sailing in the SOBC's timeslots on the odd hour sailings. I'd expect to see those sailings overloaded all day long. www.bcferries.com/bcfservicenotice?id=813047

I was on the SoBC on Saturday morning and she had 2 of 3 elevators out of service. That is not a good situation. It may be that removing her from service will deal with with elevators as well as propellers. BCFS seems to have an on-going 'thing' with elevators .

They didn't say whether they'd fix the elevators too, but really, they ought to fix them.

Update as of 10:10 pm:
Please be advised that the Queen of Coquitlam has cancelled the following sailings due to mechanical difficulties:
Sunday, August 18
2:40 pm departing Langdale 3:45 pm departing Horseshoe Bay 4:45 pm departing Langdale 5:50 pm departing Horseshoe Bay 6:55 pm departing Langdale 7:55 pm departing Horseshoe Bay
Monday, August 19
12:30 pm departing Langdale 1:35 pm departing Horseshoe Bay 4:45 pm departing Langdale 5:50 pm departing Horseshoe Bay
Route 3 had two waits from Langdale since 1015h today! There was one wait from HSB for most of the afternoon. It should be busy again tomorrow at Langdale without the Coquitlam. Murphy's Law strikes again.

www.bcferries.com/bcfservicenotice?id=821676The Oak Bay and the Surrey are both 45 to 60 minutes behind schedule. Lots of overtime for the Surrey crew as the 2140h sailing from Langdale left 53 minutes late. There is an extra sailing from Langdale by the Q of Surrey scheduled for midnight which is 100% full. It looks like it leave at 0045h. I wonder if anyone will be boarding the return trip leaving HSB at 0130h.

According to a service notice the Powell River Queen is going out for a 4 year refit. lol! I think they meant to say 4 week refit! Someone was not on the ball with that one.
The MV Powell River Queen will be removed from service on the Quadra Island to Campbell River route on Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 for its scheduled 4 year dry-docking and refit maintenance, returning to service on Wednesday, October 16th, 2013
LOL!
